XCC 25: Alexandre Bezerra v Dimitre Ivy (145lb Featherweight Title Bout)

The main event of XCC 25 will feature a title fight between Alexandre Bezerra 18-4 (G 13 BJJ) and Dimitre Ivy 6-2 (Texas Powerhouse MMA) is for the XCC 145lbs featherweight title. Bezerra is a 9 time Bellator veteran and former Cage Fury Fighting Championships Featherweight Champion who holds a win over three-fight UFC veteran Levan Makashvili (10-2-1 pro).

Ivy is a Brazilian Jui Jitsu Brown belt and Legacy Fighting Championships veteran, who earned the Hero Fighting Championship Featherweight crown beating Javier Mindarez (7-2).

Both of these fighters are explosive, Bezerra has finished opponents in 16 of his 18 wins, and Ivy has finished opponents in all six of his victories. In Bezerraâ??s four losses he was submitted only once and that was via choke in 2009. Ivy lost his first fight in 2010 via punches and his only other loss came by decision in 2012.

Bezerra did not fight in 2015 after his decision loss to Levan Makashvili. He has gotten back on track in 2016 with a first round KO of former Ring of Combat and Bellator veteran Frank Caraballo. Ivy had fought 3 times in 2015 winning all via submission-choke, but has yet to find a fighter in 2016 willing to give him a chance.

With 24 wins and only six losses between these two fighters, its clear that it will be a close contest. Bezerra, the number 1 ranked featherweight in PA, appears close to an opportunity at the UFC.

After his big victory at Legacy FC in 2013, Ivy seemed to disappear in 2014 only to reappear in 2015 with even more talent then he showed during his Legacy stint.

This one is tough to call as neither fighter is a knock out specialist. Ivy is a tough relatively unknown fighter, whilst Bezerra is a proven winner. Iron Fist Fighting Series 46: Scott Sheely provides a Night with 7 fights and 4 Title Bouts.

Paul Shough v Isaac Hook (Heavyweight Title Bout) – IT heavyweight champion Paul Shough will step in the cage for his first title defense when he takes on Isaac Hook this weekend. Shough won the belt in January when he defeated Cody Kelley, while Isaac Hook is coming off a huge victory against Aaron Garret back in December.

IT Fight Series featherweight champion Mark Carosella puts his undefeated record on the line against Columbus native Adli Edwards. Both fighters have a championship pedigree and will be looking to add to their amateur resume.

Also on the card will be Adli’s teammate, Floyd Cisco, who is looking to capture gold after coming up short in his rematch vs Joe Pimentel. He will be taking on undefeated fighter and heavy hitter Nikolai Gionti for the flyweight title.

In the final title bout, Columbus resident Caleb Frasher will take on the dangerous Logan Urban. Both fighters have started their early career with 4 straight victories but someone’s 0 has to go with the welterweight title hanging in the balance.

The main event will feature Zach Cook as he meets Luke Ransbottom. Cook has won back to back fights to even up his record as Ransbottom will look to rebound from his first career loss. Warrior Xtreme Cagefighting (WXC) 64: Redemption returns to Taylor MI with an other round of LIVE MMA action. The Main Event is a bad blood fight between Champion (UFC Vet) Johnny “The Brutal” Bedford facing challanger Mike “The Hurricane” Hernandez. A highly anticipated fight in the Midwest.

WXC 64: Johnny Bedford vs Mike Hernandez (Bantamweight Title Bout). The Bad Blood matchup that all our fans wanted to see is finally set featuring “Hurricane” Mike Hernandez Vs “Brutal” Johnny Bedford.

This fight will be a WAR that you won’t want to miss. These fighters were set to fight for Bantamweight title at WXC 63 but Hernandez incurred a rib injury during training that scrapped the bout. Bedford was not happy about the delay and said some unkind words about Hernandez.

Hernandez had a message for the UFC veteran Bedford prior to the fight: “Bring your wrestling game, because you want no part of the hands.” Hernandez’s interview makes it clear that he intends to knock out “that cocky ass” referring to Bedford.

A product of Michigan Top Team and James Lee’s Arena, Hernandez has no plans of going anywhere near the scheduled 25 minutes of his upcoming title fight vs Bedford. Hernandez is a Bellator veteran having won his only bout at Bellator 124. After winning six bouts in a row, he was submitted by a tough Canadian, Jesse Arnett at Hard Knocks 50.

Bedford has a long history of fighting on the Ultimate Fighter, Bellator and the UFC. He started as a wrestler with a 51-1 high school record before starting his professional career in 2006 when he reached the semi-finals of TUF before losing to that season’s winner John Dodson.

After TUF, Bedford would still get a shot at the UFC and would finish his first two opponents Louis Gaudinot and Marcus Vinicius by TKO.

He would however lose his next fight to another TUF alumnus in Bryan Caraway when they squared off at UFC 159. His next fight would be a no contest (head butt) against Rani Yahya, who he lost to by decision in his last UFC bout in 2014.

Both fighters have competed at the top levels of the sport and had success. Bedford has not lost since leaving the UFC and is looking for one more chance at 33, while Hernandez seems to be peaking. This bout will be well worth the price of admission.

Our Co-Main Event should capture some more national exposure will be a great battle. We’re bringing in Pat Walsh who’s been on TUF and is one of the most dangerous heavyweights in the world to face Leroy Johnson who’s Michigan’s undefeated Beast for our Heavyweight Belt. Rage in the Cage returns to the beautiful FireLake Arena August 13, 2016 for the ultimate “Night of Champions” featuring several of Oklahoma’s top ranked MMA cage fighters. The main event will pit Jon Hill, a top Oklahoma heavyweight, vs. one of Colorado’s top ranked heavyweights, Kevin sears. Jon Hill, a Bellator vet, finished sears in the first round with a TKO victory earlier this year and is looking for another first round finish in this highly anticipated rematch. Kevin sears has a point to prove and his target is Jon Hill. Sears went undefeated in his amateur MMA career while his greatest accomplishment in his pro career was a second round TKO victory against veteran MMA fighter Matt Kovacs.

In the semi-main event Oklahoma fan favorite Braden Smith has proven he is title worthy but the tough and current Rage in the Cage Pro 170 title holder Tyrone Paige stands in his way. Both will put it all on the line in a battle for the Rage in the Cage 170 pro strap.

Rocky Johnson takes on Levi Queen in a match of determination versus power. Will Johnson put the punishment to Queen, or will “The Machine” use his relentless determination to take home the Pro 185 title belt?

Jeremy Spoon, will fight in what could be his final local bout as speculation is that he is being eyed by the UFC. A win for him at Firelake Arena could catapult his career onto the Big Stage.

Ken Jackson has never turned down a tough fight as he has fought many talented UFC Vets in his decade long MMA career. This Saturday will be no different as he faces Bellator’s Abdul Razak Alhassan. He has a 4-0 pro record with 2 of those wins on Bellator cards. No competitor has been able to take Alhassan past the first round. Ken Jackson is determined to give Allhassan his first loss.

Then Bellator Vet Demario Cade takes on Choctaw’s Travis Quintero. Both will step in the cage with powerful ground games. Which one has the power to stop the other’s momentum?

Aspera Fighting Championship 43 – Baby vs Dragon

Aspera FC 43: Junior “Baby” Albini vs. Jose Rodrigo “Dragao” Guelke (Heavyweight Title Fight).

Aspera FC is ranked as one of the top 10 promotions globally, thus it is hard to pick a fight that will not be competitive. The main event 265lb heavyweight title fight is between 2 highly ranked Brazilian warriors: Junior “Baby” Albini vs. Jose Rodrigo “Dragao” Guelke, ranked 4th and 26th, respectively. These fighters do not like each other. Check out the in ring announcement of this match up at AFC 42.

Albini holds the AFC heavyweight title as well as an eight fight winning streak dating back to 2013. During this streak he has finished all but one opponent. Guelke is a fighter who some feel is past his prime at age 30. He had retired in July 2012 with a record of 15-5, before coming back 3 weeks later to start a 6 fight losing streak that spanned the 11 months between August 2012 and July 2013.

Guelke seems to have regained his focus in 2014 and since that time has only lost once in a decision, whilst finishing 4 other opponents. Like many experienced MMA fighters, he has the wind to go the distance and the ability to win on the ground via TKO.

Both Albini and Guelke are solid well rounded fighters and to some extent well rested. Albini did not fight in 2015 due to several fight cancellations and Guelke has not fought yet in 2016. Guelke is the toughest opponent Albini has seen in a while. That said youth, a three inch height advantage, and an eight fight win streak will be hard to overcome. If Guelke is focused he can win. Go with the rankings, Albini by submission.

Also the undeated Taila Santos takes on fellow Brazilian and also undefeated Kezia Zbonik. Santos has been fighting since 2013 and Zbonik since 2014. Santos has many more fights, however, both fighters are extremely skilled. One of these fighters will get her first L and lose the 0.

Maiquel Falcao vs Tiago Moreira. Maiquel Jose Falco is perhaps best known for his stint in Bellator, with whom he won the Bellator Season Six Middleweight Tournament. A professional competitor since 2004, Falco has also had one fight with the UFC where he beat Gerald Harris (22-5).

At that point Falco had compiled a record of 25-3 (1) with 21 of his wins coming by way of knockout, fighting exclusively in his native Brazil with two of the losses being at the hands of UFC veteran Fabio Maldonado.

Tyago – Moreira is a tough competitor who’s training is primarily in muay thai. At 10-5 with at 2 fight win streak, Moreira appears to be gaining some momentum in MMA. Most of his fights do not make it out of the 1st round either way. Fighting Falcao is a move up in class for Moreira, and he better get to him early as Falcao’s last four losses came in the first round.

Additionally, one of the most renowned experts of mixed martial art, Hugo Matheus (5-1, 1-0 ASPERA FC) searches for his second victory within the organization aiming to take the belt. He faces Willian Cilli, the biggest challenge of his career.

One of the main names of today’s kick boxing Diego Lima, Willian Cilli (12-3, 0-0 ASPERA FC) debut on aspera fc after having been the champion of the GP of the xfc in 2015. Also expert in jiu jitsu , the athlete comes from six consecutive victories and doesn’t lose since 2013. In New Category, the traditionally lightweight willian cilli accepted the challenge and face matheus in weight up to 77 kg!
