Jarrell Big Baby Miller Stops Kassi on ShoBox, Retains WBO NABO Title

In them main event of a nine bout card at Rhinos Stadium in Rochester, New York, televised on ShowBox, on August 19, 2016, Jarrell ‘Big Baby’ Miller retained the WBO NABO Heavyweight title with a third round stoppage of Fred Kassi, who remained on his stool after round three claiming a hand injury. Miller, 18-0-1 with 16 knockouts, Brooklyn, New York, lost the first round to Kassi, now 18-6-1 with 10 knockouts, New Orleans, Louisiana, who outboxed him. After then, Miller outpunched Kassi and closed distance range, though Kassi survived Miller’s barrage of power shots for two rounds. Miller, 6’4” and 297 pounds of muscle, is represented by promoter Dmitriy Salita, and has been calling out Anthony Joshua, Tyson Fury, and Deontay Wilder for a world title shot.

 

Result: Jarrell Miller Referee’s Technical Decision 3 Fred Kassi, Heavyweights (3:00)

Referee: Michael Griffin. Kassi did not answer the bell for round four, citing a hand injury
