Cruiserweight Nick Kisner Featured on Budweiser Rumble at the Roar Card in Erie, Pa

Erie, PA (July 11th, 2016)– Ernie Bizarro Boxing Promotions and Budweiser will present an exciting six bout card of boxing on Saturday, July 16, 2016, entitled ‘Rumble at the Roar’ benefiting charity, as part of the weeklong July 13 to 17, 2016, Roar at the Shore Tenth Anniversary week of events and activities in Erie, Pennsylvania. The ring will be situated at The Hub at Perry Square Main Stage Area on State Street in Erie.

 

The main event will feature cruiserweight Nick Kisner, 16-3-1 with six knockouts, Baltimore, Maryland, against 3-13-2 journeyman Steve Tyner of Akron, Ohio, who has won only one of his last 15 bouts. Tyner earned a surprising four round draw with Alexander Dedovets at Prestique Isle Downs Casino in Erie this past June to earn this opportunity. Kisner should knock out or stop Tyner within the first five rounds.

 

York, Pennsylvania super welterweight James Robinson, 3-4-3 with one knockout, is coming off a spectacular draw with Erik Spring at Santander Arena on July 2, and will be fighting against less than two weeks after that performance. Robinson is favored to win by six round decision over Justin Johnson, 6-12-5 Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, who is coming off a six round majority draw with Wilkins Santiago at Prestique Isle Downs Casino in Erie this past June. The match up promises to be interesting as both men are evenly matched.

 

A four round female bantamweight contest features 3-0 Rosalinda Rodriguez of Miami, Florida, who is favored to win by four round decision over Samatha Salazar, 1-0, Dallas, Texas.

 

Erik Plumeri, a 0-1-1 middleweight from Lockport, New York, is favored to win by four round decision over 0-1 Zarief Brand of Atlanta, Georgia. Philadelphia super lightweight prospect Joshua Jones, 2-0 with two knockouts, is favored to win by knockout over Ahmet Kayretli of Fairfax, Virginia. Ukrainian super heavyweight Iegor Plevako, a New York City Golden Gloves champion, will be making his pro debut and is favored to win.

 

The gated event will open at 11:30 A.M. on Saturday July 9, 2016, with the first bout at 12 noon. Ringside seating is $65, with general admission $30.
