He is a pharmacist, ex-boxing judge and HBO boxing analyst. His daughter became a boxing judge. There, of course, is much more to the magic of Harold Lederman. Humility and humor form the personality of the man. Respect and recognition follow wherever he goes.

While this reporter is not much for awards, all have a friend in Harold. Harold has a unique was of putting a happy spin with a entertainment flair on what he sees for the television viewing audience. In that sense, Harold is one of the last of the Mohicans. We have already lost Muhammad Ali, Smokin’ Joe Frazier, Bert Sugar, Emanuel Steward, Don Dunphy, Gil Clancy, Frank Cappuccino, Cedric Kushner, Hector ‘Macho’ Camacho Jr., Bob Foster and Michael Dokes just to name a few names gone in recent memory.

Harold Lederman is like the Carlos Monzon of the microphone. We’ve grown familiar to his face. Like everything else, nothing lasts forever Harold Lederman is a stable presence in an ever changing boxing world. Harold has always called the bouts exactly as he sees them with crystal clear vision in his analysis. Harold is comfortable in what he says, making the viewer more comfortable. Harold is a quiet light in the loud world of boxing, a trustworthy soul with keen insights. Congratulations Harold, on your 2016 induction into the International Boxing Hall of fame. I cannot think of a more worthy living inductee.
