RONDA ROUSEY HAD SUICIDAL THOUGHTS AFTER THE UFC 193
Los Angeles, CA (February 16th, 2016)– Former UFC champion, Ronda Rousey, made an appearance on the popular Ellen show. During the show, Rousey breaks down and reveals that not long after her KO loss to Holly Holm at UFC 193, she briefly contemplated killing herself. Here’s what she told Ellen DeGeneres:
“I was literally sitting there and thinking about killing myself and that exact second I’m like ‘I’m nothing, what do I do anymore and no one gives a sh-t about me anymore without this.’ To be honest I looked up and I saw my man Travis was standing up there and I looked up at him and I was like, I need to have his babies. I need to stay alive.”’
Ronda Rousey has accomplished something that nobody would have even thought was possible, many years ago. She opened the door for females to fight in the UFC and put on some spectacular performances in the Octagon that had even non MMA fans interested in her.
The amount of pressure she likely faced on a day-to-day basis must have been enormous. But to consider ending your life is no laughing matter. What makes it even sadder is the fact that her own Father committed suicide, after suffering from an illness for a lengthy time.
Ronda Rousey will be tied up for the next while with movies, but is expected to return to fighting near the end of this year.
