Patrick Teixeira (25-0, 21 KOs), fresh from a stellar performance in the undercard of Matthysse vs. Provodnikov in April, will make his LA FIGHT CLUBdebut on Friday, October 2 LIVE on Boxeo Estelar on Estrella TV. Bouts will be televised nationally on
Estrella TV at 10:00 p.m. ET/7:00 p.m. PT and the non-televised undercard fights will be live streamed via The Ring TV’s Roku channel, www.ringtvlive.com. The live stream will begin at approximately 5:30 p.m. PT through 7:00 p.m. PT

Zachary “Zungry” Ochoa (12-0, 5 KOs) of Brooklyn, NY will be featured in an eight-round lightweight bout part of the Estrella TV telecast. The Ring TV live stream is set to feature newcomer Joshua Franco(1-0) of San Antonio, Texas taking on Saul “Bebe” Hernandez (5-7-1, 3 KOs) of Tijuana, Mexico in a four-round super flyweight bout and Los Angeles’ Francisco Ochoa (2-0, 1 KOs) will participate in a four-round lightweight fight. Former Interim WBC Super Lightweight World Champion Lucas “La Máquina” Matthysse (37-3, 34 KOs) hosted his first-ever Argentinian media work out on Monday, Sept. 14 ahead of his upcoming fight with former WBC International Super Lightweight Champion Viktor “The Iceman” Postol (27-0, 11 KOs). Matthysse showcased his boxing skills in a workout session open to the public and spoke to the media about his upcoming fight. Matthysse and Postol will square off for the vacant WBC World Super Lightweight Championship in a 12-round bout on October 3 at StubHub Center in Carson, Calif.
 
On Tuesday, Sept. 15, Matthysse held a special round table with the media alongside, Oscar De La Hoya, Chairman and CEO of Golden Boy Promotions, his manager Mario Arano, trainer Cuty Barrera and fellow fighter Marcelino “Nino” Lopez who is scheduled to fight in the non-televised undercard of Matthysse-Postol. In addition, fellow Golden Boy Promotions fighters, Yamaguchi Falcao and Patrick Teixeira joined Lucas Matthysse for his big day with the Argentinian press.
The co-main event on October 3 features former three-division world champion Humberto “La Zorrita” Soto (65-8-2, 35 KOs) of Los Mochis, Sinaloa, Mexico will take on undefeated contender Antonio “Relentless” Orozco (22-0, 15 KOs) of San Diego, Calif. in a career defining 10-round super lightweight showdown from StubHub Center televised live on HBO Boxing After Dark.

Joseph “JoJo” Diaz Jr. (17-0, 10 KOs) makes his fourth appearance at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino and first since November of 2014 on Friday, October 23, as he battles Mexican brawler, Ruben “Canelito” Tamayo (23-6-4, 15 KOs) in the 10-round featherweight main event of Boxeo Estelar on Estrella TV.
 
Frankie “Pitbull” Gomez  (18-0, 13 KOs) will be making his long-awaited return to the ring when he takes on Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico’s Jorge “Pantera” Silva (19-9-2, 15 KOs) in the 10-round welterweight co-main event of the night.
 
As part of the live stream on Ring TV, former amateur star Angel Bojado, will make his professional debut in a four-round super welterweight bout against an opponent yet to be named.  Also as part of the live streaming event, St. Louis’ KeAndre Gibson (13-0, 5 KOs) will be looking to keep his perfect record intact in a scheduled eight-round super lightweight contest against a to-be determined opponent and Paul Ritter(0-1) of Newport, Calif. will face Relanzo Richard Jr.of Lancaster, Calif. who is making his professional debut in a four-round heavyweight fight.
 
Entering the professional ring for the first time in four-round bouts will be Las Vegas super lightweightMarco Magdaleno and Los Angeles heavyweightAndrew Estrada. Opponents for these fighters will be announced shortly. Canelo Álvarez (45-1-1, 32 KOs) hosted a press conference in Los Angeles to announce a major new agreement granting HBO Sports exclusive rights to televise Canelo’s fights in the U.S.
A former world champion, Canelo is eager to once again hold a title and will get the opportunity again on Saturday, Nov. 21 when he faces reigning WBC, Ring Magazine and Lineal Middleweight World Champion Miguel Cotto in a classic Mexico vs. Puerto Rico rivalry battle. The event will take place at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas and will be produced and distributed live by HBO Pay-Per-View. The epic battle is being called by many the most anticipated fight of 2015 and will also mark Canelo’s first Pay-Per-View appearance since his exclusive agreement with HBO.
 
Cotto vs. Canelo, a 12-round fight for Cotto’s WBC and Ring Magazine Middleweight World Championships, takes place Saturday, Nov. 21 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas. The fight is presented by Roc Nation Sports, Golden Boy Promotions, Miguel Cotto Promotions and Canelo Promotions and sponsored by Corona Extra; Mexico, Live it to Believe it!; O’Reilly Auto Parts and Tequila Cazadores. The September 18 special edition of  LA FIGHT CLUBon Boxeo Estelar on Estrella TV was a celebration of Mexican Independence Day as Marvin “Cachorro” Quintero (28-6, 24 KOs) secured a technical knockout victory over Jeffery Fontanez (16-2, 12 KOs) in the main event at the Belasco Theater for the vacant NABF Lightweight Title.
The latest installment of LA FIGHT CLUB also attracted top names in entertainment including retired two-time world champion boxer Fernando Vargas; TV and radio personality Don Cheto; singer Luis CoronelPepe Garza; and “The Golden Boy” himself,Oscar De La Hoya, Chairman and CEO of Golden Boy Promotions. They were joined by Golden Boy Promotions’ future world champion fighters and top prospects includingJoseph “Jojo” Diaz Jr., Christian “Chimpa” GonzalezJulian “El Camaron” RamirezJason QuigleyAbraham “Chamaco” LopezAngel BojadoEverton Lopes,Johnathan Navarro and Joshua Franco.
The Fontanez vs. Quintero battle thrilled the crowd with its action as a classic Mexico vs. Puerto Rico rivalry, with the Quintero win exciting fans and extending the Mexican Independence Day celebrations from earlier in the week. Quintero knocked Fontanez down twice in the fifth round, showcasing exceptional power. Fontanez answered the count on both occasions, but after absorbing several hits, Fontanez’s corner ended the fight giving Quintero the technical knockout victory.

One of the true rising stars in boxing, Manuel “Tino” Avila (18-0, 8 KOs), has extended his promotional contract with Golden Boy Promotions. Fresh off a strong performance against the Cuban Yoandris “El Nino” Salinas on Aug. 8, the newly crowned Interim NABF Super Bantamweight Champion is well on his way to world title glory.
Fairfield, Calif. native, Manuel “Tino” Avila has taken the local boxing scene by storm since his professional debut in 2010. Avila was most recently crowned the holder of the interim NABF Super Bantamweight Title after a standout victory against former world title contender Yoandris “El Nino” Salinas on August 8. Earlier this year, the fighter showed his power by defeating Erik Ruiz via unanimous decision on May 7. 2014 was a busy year for Avila, as he took on and defeated Enrique “Cuate” Quevedo, David “Morita” De La Mora, and Sergio “El Frio” Frias. Now the fighter will be looking for world championship gold as he enters the next phase of his career.
