BERTO VS. LOPEZ WEIGH-IN
Welterweight Roberto Garcia never showed up at Thursday’s weigh-in for his fight against former world titleholder Shawn Porter and was scratched from the card. Garcia reportedly is suffering from dehydration at the local hospital.
Karim Mayfield (19-2-1, 11KOs) is reportedly the replacement to take on Shawn Porter 24-1-1 (15 KOs).
UPDATE: The Spike TV telecast has to decided to pay Karim Mayfield for his trip. However Erick Bone (16-1, 8 KOs) has replaced Mayfield at the last minute.
“I’m just going to treat this like it’s a tournament, because when you’re in a tournament, you don’t know who you’re going to fight,” Porter said. “You just get into the ring, and you make the adjustments and do what you do. We’ll move forward.”
