The richest card of the year just got richer Monday, as featherweight contenders Dennis Bermudez and Jeremy Stephens meet in UFC 189 action at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on July 11.
UFC 189 is headlined by the featherweight championship bout between Jose Aldo and Conor McGregor and the welterweight title fight between Robbie Lawler and Rory MacDonald.
A finalist on season 14 of The Ultimate Fighter, the number six-ranked Bermudez has won seven of his last eight, a run that includes wins over Clay Guida, Jimy ettes and Max Holloway. Now preparing for his 21st UFC bout, the number 11-ranked Stephens is looking to get back into the win column after close decision losses to Cub Swanson and Charles Oliveira.
