Chicago, IL (November 2, 2014)– Andrzej Fonfara (26-3, 15 KOs) won a tough ten round unanimous decision over Doudou Ngumbu (33-6, 12 KOs) on Saturday night at the UIC Pavilion in Chicago.Scores were 98-92, 97-93, 97-93.

Unbeaten WBO bantamweight champion Tomoki “El Mexicanito” Kameda (31-0, 19 KOs) won a twelve round split decision over WBO interim bantamweight champion Alejandro “Payasito” Hernandez (28-11-2, 15 KOs) to become the WBO champ at 118 pounds. Kameda outboxed Hernandez over the first eight rounds. “El Mexicanito” suffered a cut over the left eye in round nine, but successfully navigated the final four rounds to win by scores of 115-113, 115-113 on two cards. Hernandez was up 115-113 on the third card.

Former interim WBA featherweight world champion and undefeated super featherweight contender Javier “El Abejon” Fortuna (26-0-1, 19 KOs) scored a devastating fifth round KO over Abner “Pin” Cotto (18-3, 8 KOs). Fortuna aggressively swarmed over Cotto from the start, looking for a quick KO. In a bizarre sequence in round three, Cotto was credited with a knockdown after a shot to the back of the head of Fortuna plus Cotto was deducted a point for hitting behind the head. Fortuna was deducted a point for hitting after the bell in round four, aided by a nice acting job by Cotto. Fortuna knocked out Cotto with a crushing left hand to the chin. Time was 1:32
