Buenos Aires, Argentina (November 14th, 2014)– The former WBC super welterweight and middleweight Champion, Sergio Martinez explains that if his knee heals properly and holds up, he wants a grandstand farewell fight.
“ I don’t want to retire having lost a fight. I don’t feel frustration, sometimes you win… sometimes you lose. If I can fight one more time I will do it. All depends on the medics and in the progress of my injuries,” realistically commented Martinez.
“Maravilla”, who lost by KO and with it his WBC middleweight crown against Puerto Rican, Miguel Cotto, in his last fight, dreams of just one more fight to say adios with a victory.” Commented Sergio: ” If I need surgery again I will stop boxing. If not, I just have to strengthen the knee, although it’s difficult work.”
