Tampa, FL (November 4, 2014) – History will be made as the FIRST EVER Mixed Martial Arts event, Victory VII, will take place at the theater at Madison Square Garden on Friday, November 21, 2014. (UFA) will air this explosive fight card, featuring the best Muay Thai Kickboxing alongside New York’s premiere amateur MMA fighters, to over 100 million North American homes.
United Fight Alliance CEO Jay Adams stated, “We are thrilled to be Victory’s commentating and broadcast partner again. These exceptional athletes always fight hard in the cage and ring but this night will be extra special. The fighters know the historic nature of this event and venue. Several titles are on the line and no one wants to lose on a night like this. This is big — and they get it. I have a strong feeling it will be hard to pick the Fight of the Night because everybody will be leaving it inside the ring.”
“Victory VII,” is the biggest event ever sanctioned by the WKA in New York. ”We’re very excited for the opportunity to make history again by bringing the first ever MMA event to MSG. We’re always very excited to give the fans another great show in a fantastic venue,” remarked Victory Combat Sports CEO Kevin Lillis.
An unprecedented 24 fights are expected for this extraordinary evening with several titles on the line. Returning to Victory Combat Sports is the 2010 National Egyptian Wrestling Champion and 2012 wrestling Olympian Ibrahim Farag, who will be taking on Chris Borders, Jr from Renzo Gracie Fight Academy. Muay Thai powerhouse Ariel Abreu will be making his highly anticipated MMA debut against MMA Wrecking Machine Chike Obi. Yuting Hong makes his return to Victory as he faces MMA Standout Aaron Sifflet and in another standout fight, Take On Muay Thai Champion Jason Von Oijen will put his title on the line. You won’t want to miss the main event as Chris “The Polish Punisher” Kwiatkowski will face Kid Dynamite himself Spencer Grekoski on this momentous night.
“We look forward to combining the level of production and Muay Thai fights that New York fans have come to expect from Take On, with the energy and excitement of Victory MMA to bring “Victory VII”. Having it be the first MMA event at the Garden just puts the icing on the cake!” stated Take On CEO Mike Gasparski. Take On brought the first ever Muay Thai event to MSG with Muay Thai at the Mecca in 2012.
