Los Angeles, CA (October 7th, 2014)– Matt Korobov and Andy Lee will fight for the WBO’s vacant middleweight title, Top Rank CEO Bob Arum informed RingTV.com on Monday. The card is being promoted by Frank Warren and will take place in Ireland. Korobov (24-0, 14 knockouts) and Lee (33-2, 23 KOs), who is promoted by Lou DiBella, will fight for the vacated belt last month that was held by Peter Quillin. Quillin refused a fight with Korobov last month and lost his title. “We have confirmation from last week from Frank Warren that we’re going forward with that fight. The fight will be in Dublin, Ireland, on Dec. 13,” said Arum. “We have an agreement through e-mail, and our lawyers are drawing up a provision of services agreement to send to Frank to sign. I think that it’s a very good fight and a very interesting fight.” |
