Bernard Hopkins vs. Sergey Kovalev is almost a done deal for November
SI.com’s Chris Mannix tweeted today that undefeated knockout artist Sergey Kovalev is scheduled to fight 49 year old Bernard Hopkins in November. Dan Rafael from ESPN reported that the fight will be televised on HBO. The venue has not been decided yet.
The fight is pending and Kovalev must defeat undefeated Blake Caparello tomorrow for this fight to be confirmed . Adonis Stevenson who is the Ring magazine champion at 175lbs., refused a fight with Kovalev earlier this year and decided to join the Showtime Network.
