Medeiros hasn’t been in the cage since her UD victory back in October, 2013 against Rachel Sazoff.

Pattee Mak: Thank you so much for taking time out of your busy schedule especially since your fight is coming up very quickly. This will be your 6th fight and Narcise is making her pro debut. What do you know about Narcise?

Medeiros:I don’t know much about her but I know she have a very good ground game.

Pattee Mak: How confident are you going into this fight fighting someone who has never fought in the pro’s?

Medeiros: I’m confident for the hard work I’ve being putting in training! But I bet no buddy fight pro without know anything, she’s being around grappling all over so I will respect her trying to take me down!!

Pattee Mak: What would you say your strong points are in the cage?

Medeiros: Definitely my strong point against her will be my striking but I also have a good ground skills, and inside the cage I have a lot more experience.

Pattee Mak: Back in October, 2013 when you fought Sazoff you were the first female fighter who fought on a CES [Classic Sports & Entertainment] card and won by UD. What was that like and how did the crowd react?

Medeiros: It was a pleasure to fight for CES and always gonna be, we became family. The crowd loved it, I believe they are very exciting to see me back.

Pattee Mak: Back when you fought Peggy Morgan in 2012 you lost by a majority decision, do you feel that the loss was legitimate?

Medeiros:I definitely disagree with the decision against Peggy Morgan, I know it was a close fight but I thought I had the win, even the crowd.

Pattee Mak: How did you get involved in the sport of mma?

Medeiros: I had a friend and he invited me to come over to coach me and to see Capoeira, which is a Brazilian Marital Art and Dance. It is very popular in Brazil. He trained me and invited me to go to amma school. I fell in love with everything that day and I haven’t stopped since the first time I went there.

Pattee Mak: Where are you currently training and who is training you?

Medeiros: I am training with Tri-Force MMA in Pawtucket, R.I. I have been training there for over 2 years. My head coach is Pete Jeffreyand my stand up training is with William Soukhamthath.

Pattee Mak: What would you like to say to Narcise?

Medeiros: Keep your hands up and I can knock you out in any second so be ready. I have a lot of power.

Pattee Mak: 2014 is about half way over. Why only 1 scheduled fight this year thus far?

Medeiros: I got hurt during my last fight and I continued to fight. I hurt acland meniscus. After I fought I was waiting for my recovery to be completely done.

Pattee Mak: “The Dark Angel”….. please do tell.

Medeiros: It came out because I was talking with some friends and how angry I get inside the cage and if anyone talks to me outside the cage I am like an angle but in the cage it’s my dark side.

Pattee Mak: What is your amateur record?

Medeiros: 4-2.

Pattee Mak: I know that you and professional boxer Shelly “Shelito” Vincent are friends. Have the two of your ever did any stand up training?

Medeiros: We usually meet up. She comes every Sunday and we meet at Striking Beauties to spar. We call it the “Sunday Fun Day” and come to spar and beat each other. I met her 2011 and we been friends since then. She’s always busy training but helping to get my hands ready.

Pattee Mak: Thank you for taking the time to chat with me. I will not be able to make your fight but I wish you the best of luck.

Medeiros:I’d like to thank CES for giving me another chance and another opportunely to be part of their show, Jimmy Burchfield, Jr. and Sr., Pete and thanks to all my fans, trainers and training partners.1
