UFC Fight Night 32 Results – Belfort vs. Henderson

The Brazilians got the better of their opponents once again. But it was the main event that had people tuning in. Two of the sports legendary light-heavyweights fought in a rematch from their 2006 bout in PRIDE.

Vitor Belfort got another quick finish to be the first man to knockout Dan Henderson. Belfort will be in title talks once again win this victory, whereas, Henderson will be asking questions after his third straight loss. Belfort’s spectacular head kick brought him to 13-6 UFC and Henderson’s loss dropped him to 6-5 UFC. Both fighters were patient until Henderson decided to push forward but he got caught on the jaw and fell. Belfort then proceeded to land punches while Henderson tried to recover. As Henderson was getting up, Belfort whipped his shin across Henderson’s face and ended the fight decisively.

Cezar Ferreira took a split decision over Daniel Sarafian in a lack lustre co-main event. Sarafian tried pushing the pace and looked for the knockout, but Ferreira was able to get the takedowns and slow down the fight. Ferreira is 3-0 UFC and Sarafian is now 1-2 UFC.

Rafael Cavalcante knocked out Igor Pokrajac in the first round. Cavalcante’s vicious knees had Pokrajac moving back and eventually left him with no other option but to drop to the floor. Cavalcante is now 1-1 UFC and Pokrajac is 4-6 UFC.

Brandon Thatch defeated Paulo Thiago in round one. Thatch delivered a devastating knee to send Thiago to the mat before tapping to avoid further damage. The body shot makes Thatch 2-0 UFC and Thiago 5-6 UFC.

Ryan Laflare earned a unanimous decision over Santiago Ponzinibbio. Laflare worked hard trying to finish Ponzinibbio but instead he had to settle for a unanimous decision making him 2-0 UFC and Ponzinibbio is 0-1 UFC.

Jeremy Stephens knocked out Rony Jason in the first round. Jason didn’t stand a chance against Stephens’ head kick and follow up punches. Stephens vicious knock out brought him to 9-8 UFC and Jason is now 3-1 UFC.
