HOLLYWOOD, Fla. (November 12, 2013) – Norberto Gonzalez upset hometown favorite Michael Oliveira in the main event of tonight’s “Knockout Night at Hard Rock Live” which was presented by MO Productions, at Hard Rock Live at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida.

As the crowd screamed Michael, Michael & chanted Rocky, Rocky, however Gonzalez’ speed proved too much for Oliviera. Gonzalez won by unanimous decision in the 10-round in one of the best shows of heart I have seen in quite some time. Gonzalez did get into some trouble in the second round when Oliveira hit him with a right cross but the rest of the show belonged to Gonzalez. Just before the final bell of the 10th round, Gonzalez sent Oliveira to the mat but he was saved by the bell.

In the co-feature, Yuri Foreman garnered his first KO since 2006 decimating Javier Gomez with a left hook at 1:56 in the 1st round. Several moments later, Gomez was still on the mat but ultimately did get up. Yuri said, ‘’It’s been quite a few years,” referring to his KO win. He also said “I pray that he’s okay” referring to Gomez who stayed down for some time. Yuri continued; “Now, I’m ready for a 10-round fight.”

Prior to the evenings Main Events there were 2 fights:

Valentino Knowles who remains unbeaten as he won against last minute opponent Ruben Ozuma who has a lot of potential.

Robert Alfonso dominated Jamal Woods and won the bout by way of a unanimous decision at the end of the 4th round.

Undercard:

Hairon Socarras remains undefeated after annihilating Jhon Alberto Molina to win by unanimous decision at the end of 6 rounds.

Yunieski Gonzalez recovered from a brisk knockdown to stop Jinner Guerrero in the eighth round. Gonzalez landed a devastating, right hand that ended the fight although they were scheduled for 10.

Steve Geffard received his 1st career win against Jamel Burnside. The referee ended the fight in the third round.

Last but not least Vilier Gonzalez devastated Marcus Brooks throughout the 2nd round and Brooks simply did not return for round 3.
