A GOLDEN NIGHT FOR BOXING FANS

Sunrise, FL (October 14, 2013)– It will be a Golden Night here at the BB&T Center in Sunrise, FL. World Class boxing will be broadcast live by FOX Sports 1 and FOX Deportes.
Following a Meet & Greet at 7:00 PM by former World Champion Roy Jones, Jr., there are 6 bouts scheduled. This evening is part of the Golden Boy Boxing Series so for you local boxing fans here in South Florida, annual subscriptions are available and can be purchased by calling +1 954-835-CLUB.
The Main Event presents Charlo vs. Rodriguez, which is a 10-round junior middleweight bout. It is presented by Golden Boy Promotions and Sunrise Sports & Entertainment and sponsored by Corona and O’Reilly Auto Parts. The main event features 23 year old unbeaten junior middleweight Jermell “Iron Man” Charlo vs. Jose Angel “Silver Boy” Rodriguez who is from my hometown NY and is a southpaw. This should be an interesting fight if Rodriguez has shaken off his rust. Rodriguez has had only 1 fight this year, in January 2013 which he won by unanimous decision. He has had a long hiatus with his prior fight won by unanimous decision on August of 2010. Charlo who is unbeaten 21 (KO 10) + 0 (KO 0) + 0 comes fresh off of beating Demetrius Hopkins by unanimous decision and Harry Joe Yorgey by KO. The senior Rodriguez stats are 17 (KO 2) + 2 (KO 0) + 1.

All men made weight at the Weigh-Ins yesterday at Johnny Rockets.
Tonight’s action is at The BB&T Center in Sunrise, FL, Home to The Panthers, 2555 NW 136th Ave, Sunrise, FL 33323. The BB&T Center doors open at 7:00 p.m. ET; the first bell is scheduled to ring at 8:00 p.m. ET. FOX Sports 1 and FOX Deportes simulcast will air live at 9:00 p.m. ET/6:00 p.m. PT so you Spanish speakers are also covered.
