Las Vegas, NV (September 17th, 2013)–TJ Grant withdrew Monday from the December 14th show because of lingering concussion symptoms. UFC officials announced that former Strikeforce champion Josh Thomson will be facing Lightweight Champion, Anthony Pettis as his replacement.

Thomson (20-5, 1 NC)  At 34 years old, Josh made a successful return to the UFC this April, becoming the first man to knock out Nate Diaz with a brutal head kick in the second round.

Pettis (17-2), submitted Ben Henderson by a first round armbar to win the UFC Belt at UFC 164 a few weeks ago.

UFC on FOX 9 takes place December 14, 2013 at the Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento, California.
