Reymundo Beltran Should Belt Out Ricky Burns in Scotland
Longtime Manny Pacquiao sparring partner and BoxRec number six lightweight Reymundo ‘Sugar’ Beltran, a Mexican fighting out of Phoenix, Arizona, should belt out World Boxing Association Lightweight champion Ricky Burns on September, 7, 2013, in Glasgow, Scotland. Beltran, 28-6, 17 knockouts, has been around the block and then some. They will never give Beltran a decision in Scotland.
For Beltran to win, he needs a kayo. He can absolutely get it. For Burns, 36-2, 11 knockouts, Coatbridge, Scotland, the BoxRec number lightweight, to win, he must exploit a two inch height and two inch reach to work away at Beltran from the outside and break him down. Burns is 5’10” with a 70 inch reach to Beltran’s 5’8” and 68 inch reach. Prediction is Beltran KO 10 or KO 11 or KO 12 or Ricky Burns Win 12.
On the undercard, 10-0 David Graf of Germany should win an easy 10 round decision over 8-0 Stephen Simmons of Edinburgh for the vacant WBC International Silver Cruiserweight title. 14-0Southpaw featherweight Joe Slowey of Glasgow should win a decision over former Spanish Super Bantamweight champion Angel Lorente of Palma De Mallorca, Spain. Burns versus Beltran is the main event of a nine bout card at Scottish Exhibition Centre in Glasgow.
