The cool air conditioning of the Pechanga Casino was stifling in contrast to the dry, hot desert air of Southern California. Temecula once again played home to a great night of fights streaming live across the world on Spike TV and Real Combat Media.

Andrew Fisher (12-4) VS Joe Taimanglo (18-4)

Round 1

A hard fought round, contested on each of the fighters behalf. However the fight leaned towards Taimanglo as he begun to land with upppercuts and heavy right hands as the round ended. RCM: 10-9 Taimanglo

Round 2

Another fast paced round that sees both fighters in the center of the cage exchanging combinations.  Taimanglo seems the heavier of the hitters but Fisher does not back down an inch.  They trade non stop until the end of the round when Fisher is able to get Taimanglo’s back while standing.  The bell sounds.  RCM:  Fisher 10-9

Round 3

They meet again center circle and stand toe to toe throwing tons of different techniques both high and low.  Andrew looks to trip Joe up but he is able to scramble to his feet before Fisher gains top position.  Back in center cage, noticably tired but still throwing heavy punches, both fighters refuse to back down or give an inch.  Joe throws a beautiful spinning heel kick but it is nicely blocked by Andrew.  Both men are bleeding from the face but are still relatively light on their feet.  Andrew lands a big over hand right but Joe is no worse for wear.  Taunting, Joe is hit with a left hook and shakes it off.  Joe tries to pull back the momentum with some hard combos that are unable to find their mark.  No real attempts for take downs have been made by either fighter thus far in the round.  At the mark, Joe throws a huge over hand right but finds nothing but air.  RCM:  Fisher 10-9

(29-28, 30-27 and 30-27) Joe Taimanglo wins by Unanimous Decision

Justin Wilcox (11-5) VS Akop Stepanyan (13-5)

Round 1

Wilcox comes out with heavy leather followed by a big right head kick that both miss their mark.  He is very aggressive as Akop works around the outside.  One leg kick and Wilcox goes down.  He jumps back up but is visibly hurt.  Wilcox lands a leg kick as Akop lands a counter right.  Stepanyan seems almost insulted by the aggressive younger fighter.  After a sequence, Akop defends the takedown and they stand center cage.  The exchanges of these fighters are lightning fast.  Akop defends another takedown, then a high kick and lands a low kick of his own.  Counter left from Akop lands.  Justin lands a low kick but is unable to follow up.  Akop is controlling the cage and the pace.  Justin is hurting from those leg kicks and now he eats a liver kick.  At the end of the round, Wilcox is off the mark with a takedown attempt and the bell rings.  RCM : 10-9 Akop

Round 2

They touch gloves to start, Justin throws another huge right and misses.  Akop lands a leg kick and Justin is limping now.  His left leg is completely destroyed.  After another leg kick he falls to a single leg and is successful, putting Stepanyan on his back.  Akop controls well and is able to negate the majority of damage from Wilcox.  A scramble ensues and Justin takes Akop’s back.  He sinks in a tight choke, it looks like he might have it.  Akop goes out, Justin wins by Rear Naked Choke putting his opponent completely to sleep.

Justin Wilcox defeats Akop Stepanyan by Submission (Rear Naked Choke)

Houston Alexander (15-9) VS Vladimir Matyushenko (26-7)

Round 1

They touch center ring and step away to begin the match.  They circle slowly, respecting each others power.  Janitor low kick is met by an over hand right by Alexander.  Another low by Vlady as Houston circles on the outside.  Houston lands a good single and Vlady counters back from the knees with his own, putting Alexander on his butt.  Houston works and is back to his feet.  Vladimir stays with the low kicks, looking to halt the KO power of Houston.  With double over hooks, Matyushenko lands a belly to belly suplex.  He works his way to mount just as Alexander escapes quickly back to his feet.  Vlady looks to be controlling the cage as Alexander is happy to circle away on the outside fence.  Nothing eventful comes in the last 10 second.  RCM: 10-9 Vladimir

Round 2

Round 2 begins with Vlady throwing a missed low kick and a left hook that lands.  Alexander becomes more aggressive but is unable to find the mark.  An exchange center ring leaves both fighters battered.  More hands are landing but both men are still standing.  Vlady is again the fighter who is controlling the match, standing center cage.  The outside low kick has been the real game changer for Vladimir, allowing him to control the cage and the range between fighters.  After some non-action, the local crowd becomes restless and begins to voice their opinions.  Alexander lands a huge right hook and Vladimir is clearly hurt, he moves towards the fence then shoots to avoid being caught again.  A quick sprawal from Houston is the last bit of action before the end of the round.  RCM: 10-9 Vladimir.

Round 3

Houston is moving forward with a bit more urgency than in previous rounds.  He puts combination together with forward movement but is unable to land.  Another low kick from Vlady however, does land.  Big echanges ensue, The Janitor gets the best of it but eats a knee just as he lands a double leg on Alexander, ending in his guard.  They scramble, Houston slams Vladimir, Vladimir scrambles as Houston ends up in turtle position.  Vladimir is controlling from the top but he is unable to land any substantial damage.  Houston is back to his feet against the cage, Vladimir is simply happy to utilize a front head lock position to control.  With one minute remaining, Vlady punches Alexander over and over from the top of the turtle position with Houston against the cage.  The bout ends with very little excitement.  RCM: 10-9 Vladimir

Vladimir Matyushenko defeats Houston Alexander by Unanimous Decision (29-28, 30-27 and 30-27)

Desmond Green (8-1) VS Fabricio Guerreiro (17-1)

Round 1

Des, the southpaw, meets Fabricio in the middle of the cage.  They circle finding their ranges.  Both men are fast and move quickly in and out of attack range.  Fabricio is starting to find a home for the leg kick just as Des lands a left hand.  Guerreiro lands a great head and arm throw but Des is back up to his feet in no time flat.  Fabricio lands a great body kick.  Green’s support is vocal and Des is fast but he can’t seem to get a rythym flowing.  Another body kick from Fabricio finds a home on Des’s midsection.  After a bit of work and just before the end of the round, Desmond is able to secure the take down against the cage.  RCM: 10-9 Guerreiro

Round 2

Fabricio starts with the same mid level round kick.  Des is able get just outside the range.  Fabricio is able to close the distance and fights for a takedown.  Des scrambles but Fabricio looks to take his back standing.  Defending the position, Des eats many knees the back of the legs courtesy of Guerreiro’s aggressiveness.  He puts Desmond down and he gets right back up, again Desmond is down, and again he gets right back up.  Now they seperate and are standing center cage.  Guerreiro stands center ring as Des works his way around on the outside.  After a failed takedown attempt, Des eats a left hook.  Guerreiro is gaining momentum and is moving forward with more authority.  A groin kick stops the action as Des is given time to recover.  A restart and a shake a hands begins the match again.  Des secures the single leg as Fabricio jumps back up.  Des slams him again with a side suplex just as the bell rings to end the frame.

Round 3

Des comes out looking for the takedown but Fabricio will have none of it.  Des is able to get behind Fabricio similar to the last round but in reverse.  Now Desmond is landing knees from behind as Guerreiro tries to defend.  Just next to me Des’s Mom screams to him “How bad do you want it?”  Fabricio rolls out of the position and is stalking Des around the cage.  He is hungry and has the eye of the tiger.  Fabricio misses with a huge over hand right, then a huge uppercut misses also.  Des is moving back quickly but is not mounting any counter offense.  In the final minute Des shoots for a single but is stuffed.  Guerreiro continues to move forward with right hands.  Des seems unable to pull the trigger all the way up to the final bell.  RCM: 10-9 Guerreiro

Diego Nunes (18-4) VS Patricio Pitbull (17-2)
