Timothy Bradley vs. Juan Manuel Marquez is Resolved
By Anthony L. Gonzalez, Real Combat Media Editor in Chief
Las Vegas, NV (August 8th, 2013)– Timothy Bradley has agreed to continue with his scheduled October 12th fight in Las Vegas, Nevada against Juan Manuel Marquez.
The original conflict was when Bradley told Boxingscene Radio he would not fight if there was no USADA or VADA testing, which was stated in the contract. However, Bob Arum has settled the issue and has given The Nevada Athletic Commission more money to conduct similar USADA/ VADA testing.
“Everything is fine. The Nevada Commission is running the tests. They are taking extensive tests. They started it on Tuesday. Everything is in order. The tests by the Nevada Commission will be just as or even more extensive than USADA or VADA. You have to understand that these are the same tests. These organizations may evaluate them differently but the tests are the tests. If you were trained, you could put a needle in somebody and take the blood,” Arum told BoxingScene.com.
