By Anthony L. Gonzalez, Real Combat Media Editor in Chief
Las Vegas, NV (August 22, 2013)– The UFC announced today that former Strikeforce welterweight, Tyrone Woodley (11-2) will be facing Josh Koscheck at UFC 167. Josh will be 35 before the November 17th card at UFC 167 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Josh turns 36 November 30th.
This already stacked Welterweight card already has Rory Macdonald vs. Robbie Lawlor and GSP vs. Johnny Hendricks as the main event.
Josh Koscheck has gone 2-2 since his loss to GSP back in 2010. He is coming off a knockout loss to Robbie Lawlor earlier this year. Tyrone Woodley is coming a controversial decision loss to Jake Shields in June. Tyrone is 1-1 in the UFC. This fight is huge for both fighter’s future in the UFC.
Both fighters are great wrestlers with plenty of punching power. This is a pretty evenly matched fight on paper. Woodley does have the youth advantage at age 31 and will be 4 years younger than Josh. However, Josh has the experience advantage and has fought for the UFC title, losing both times to GSP.
