Riddick Bowe Comeback is set for June 14th in Thailand

New York, NY (May 23rd,2013)– Riddick Bowe, the former Heavyweight boxing champion, has decided to comeback to fighting, however it is not boxing. The 45 year old will make his professional Muay Thai debut against Russia’s Levgen Golovin for the WBC and WPMF super heavyweight titles on June 14th in Bangkok, Thailand.

“I want to make history as the first fighter who wins the heavyweight titles in both professional boxing and Muay Thai,” Bowe told the Bangkok Post. “I have watched Muay Thai bouts but actually I was only introduced to it three months ago.”

Considering the complexity of Muay Thai and Bowe’s inexperience in the sport, this will be a very challenging fight. Muay Thai is a sport that allows elbows, punches, knees and kicks.

Some of the boxing media is already calling Bowe delusional in is his new endeavor. Bowe will only have 30 days of training to get ready for his first fight. Comment below and let us know what you think of Riddick Bowe’s Muay Thai debut.
