REAL COMBAT MEDIA BOXING RADIO EPISODE #6
Roselle Park, NJ (February 26, 2013)– Episode #6 of the Real Combat Media Boxing Radio was another great episode. We had two of boxing’s best undefeated prospects on our show and we had one of of the best heavyweight boxers on the show.
Jesse Vargas, 23, from Las Vegas, NV, spoke about his career and his future. He spoke about moving up in weight later in his career and about his next fight coming up against undefeated Australian, Wale Omotoso. He also spoke about how Top Rank Promotion’s has been treating him good so far since he moved on from Mayweather Promotions last year. Vargas also said he would like to fight for the title sometime in 2013.
Keith Thurman, 24, who won the Real Combat Media Boxing Prospect of 2012 Award spoke about his incredible knockout power. He said he is hungry for all the belts and feels not many fighters can take his power. Thurman is fighting Jan Zavek on March 9th at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY.
Tony Thompson shocked the UK last Saturday with an upset win over undefeated David Price in his hometown of Liverpool, UK. Tony who is close to turning 42, knocked out the 23 year old Bronze Medalist with a right hand lead in round 2 to win the fight by a TKO.
Tony decribes the punch and how it felt to win. Tony was on our show two weeks ago and told us he was in a must win situation and would retire if he had lost.
Tony Thompson said he would really want to fight Alexander Povetkin and called him out. He alluded that the Povetkin camp maybe scared Listen to what he had to say on the link below. He also mentioned he would be interested in fighting Tyson Fury next. Thompson quoted, “I just wants to whoop Tyson’s Fury’s Ass!”
Tony Thompson also said his ultimate goal to fight either of the Klitschko’s for a world title once again.
