Ivan Redkach Roseland Fight Card Preview

 New York, NY (February 13th, 2013) Matchmaker extraordinaire Joe Quiambo and Lou DiBella Entertainment will present an exciting nine bout card of professional boxing at Roseland Ballroom on Thursday, February 21, 2013, covering divisions from super flyweight through heavyweight. The card will feature Olympic alternate Ivan Redkach of Ukraine.

 

The card will begin with four opening bouts of four rounds featuring fighters with four bouts of professional experience or less, including the heavyweight debut of Ytalo Perea of Ecuador versus 2-1-1 heavyweight Excel Holmes, 33, of Buffalo, New York. Rising 3-0 super featherweight prospect Neuky Santelises will also appear in a four rounder.

 

The number one ranked amateur in the United States at 152 pounds, New York City light middleweight Patrick Day, 1-0, who knocked out Zachariah Kelley in the first round this past January, will do battle in a four rounder against 2-1-1 Hilliard, Ohio middleweight Dominique Foster, a winner of his last two professional four round bouts. New York City light welterweight Louis Cruz, a winner by first round knockout in his pro debut in July 2012, returns to the ring against Kenner, Louisiana boxer Demond Brock, 3-1, a winner of his last three bouts in Louisiana.

 

Keisher ‘Fire’ McLeod-Wells, BoxRec’s number 19 female flyweight boxer in the world, will fight a six rounder (two minute rounds in a female bout). Wells, 35, now 5-2, won a six round decision over 5-0 Patricia Alcivar in New York City in her last outing in March 2012.

 

Travis ‘Notorious’ Peterkin, a 6-0 light heavyweight prospect from Brooklyn, New York, will battle 3-2 Caldwell, Idaho super middleweight Thomas Turner in a six rounder. Turner scored a first round knockout over Billy Schmidt at Texas Station Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada in his last outing in August 2012.

 

Welterweight contender Charlie Ota of New York City, now 21-1-1 with 15 knockouts, ranked number 24 in the world by BoxRec, coming off a fourth round knockout of Janel Gadapan at Fureai Hall in Tokyo, will battle Colorado Springs, Colorado light middleweight Abel Perry, 18-6, with nine knockouts, in an eight rounder.

 

In an eight round battle of Southpaws. Ukrainian lightweight Ivan Redkach, now 13-0 with 11 knockouts,  will face Mexican boxer Sergio Rivera, 27-10-2, with 17 knockouts, Sonora, Mexico. According to BoxRec, Rivera knocked out Manuel Valenzuela in the third round in November 2012. Both contestants won decisions in their previous bouts, Redkach decisioned Edward Valdez, and Rivera decisioned Ulises Duarte.

 

Welterweight prospect Thomas Dulorme, 16-1, 12 knockouts, Carolina, Puerto Rico,will appear in the main event in an eight rounder against an opponent to be named. Dulorme’s record includes a ten round decision win over former WBO world light welterweight champion DeMarcus Corley.
