Bautista!!! Stuns the Crowd
By: Pattee Mak-Ringside
Providence, Rhode Island– October 6, 2012 Jimmy Burchfield’s Classic Entertainment & Sports, Inc (CES), in association with June Entertainment presented the highly anticipated fight card “ REAL PAIN” at the Dunkin’ Donut Center in Providence, Rhode Island. What an exciting nite of mma action. Not only did WWE fans get to see one of their favorite wrestlers, the former 6x World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) champion Dave Bautisa in action, but the undercard was filled with excitement as well.
Bautisa’s opponent, Vince Lucero took the fight on short notice. The fight consisted of 3 rounds, 5 minutes each. Lucero showed up body wise not looking in tiptop shape unlike Bautista whose body was tight and ready for action.
At the start of round 1, Lucero charged Bautista at the start of the bell and rocked him with a punch. Bautista looks a bit uneasy and maybe wasn’t ready for this kind of action. Both fighters exchanging stand up punches. At this point, Lucero was wavering to the crowd while Bautista was up against the cage. (I don’t think I’ve ever seen that before). Bautista took him to the ground and has a rear mount and was throwing some punches. Lucero was not fighting back. Bautista throwing multiple punches to the head of Lucero. At 4 minutes, 5 seconds the round, the referee stops the fight due to unanswered strikes.
Dave Bautista received his 1st win and that “0” must go. His record now reads 1-0-0. Vince Lucero decreased his record to 20-23-0, 11 Kos.
