Floyd Mayweather is free

By: Anthony L. Gonzalez

Floyd Mayweather has been released from jail today . He began his jail sentence on June 1st for a domestic violence incident. His 90 days was cut short for good behavior and he was released after serving 53 days. He still has remaining community service obligations to complete. During his incarceration, Floyd was separated from the general population for safety reasons. Floyd sentence was previously postponed from January so he can fight on May 5th.

Floyd Mayweather has some options for his next fight. He could rematch Miguel Cotto or he could fight Robert Guerrero. The Cotto fight would most likely take place at Madison Square Garden in December if Mayweather accepts.

Guerrero is coming off an impressive victory over Selcuk Aydin last Saturday to become the Interim WBC Welterweight Champion.

There is also a small possibility that he can fight Manny Pacquiao. Pacquiao has not yet decided on his next opponent. If Floyd starts training right away, he would be ready to make a return in late November or early December.

What do you think is Floyd Mayweather’s next fight ?
