Danny Garcia shocks UK’S Amir Khan in a Stunning Upset

By: Anthony L Gonzalez

Danny Garcia (24-0 15 KO’s), Philadelphia’s light welterweight not only proved he belongs on the world class level, but he proved he has power. Garcia , who suffered a cut over his right eye in round two, fought back to drop Amir Khan (26-3 18 KO’s) in round 3 and later forced Khan to the canvas twice in round 4. Khan managed to climb back to his feet but referee Kenny Bayless called a halt to the fight after he determined that Khan should not continue. Khan showed heart but was very dazed by Garcia’s attack

Khan was noticably the faster guy early on and proved that he was the better boxer of the two fighters. Garcia lost both rounds easily, but came back real strong at the end of the 4th when Garcia caught Khan with a wild left hook. Khan was saved by the bell and was knocked down twice in round 4 before the fight was stopped.

Danny Garcia now holds the WBC and the WBA titles. Real Combat Media gives Danny Garcia a lot of credit for his impressive performance and stunning upset TKO victory of Amir Khan.
