a hopeful Mike Dallas awaits

Mike Dallas Jr. Speaks with Nick Bellafatto before headlining Friday Night Fights

By: Nick Bellafatto

I spoke with the “Silent Assassin” Mike Dallas Jr. (18-2-1, 7 KO’s) as he wrapped up training camp Monday afternoon at Kings Gym in Oakland, California, where in preparation to take on WBO #4 ranked junior welterweight Javier Castro, Mike will be featured in the main event on Friday Night Fights this weekend. On the line will be Castro’ 140 pound Interim Latino title, and although a minor title, it nevertheless carries the potential to lead to bigger and better things should Dallas Jr. emerge victorious. The highly ranked Castro is considered the puncher here, but the “Silent Assassin,” under the tutelage of Andre “S.O.G. ” Ward trainer Virgil Hunter, is looking to utilize his boxing skills to land himself in the rankings at the expense of his counterpart. Hear what Mike had to say as fight night from the Soboba Casino in San Jacinto, California approaches.
