COMBATE GLOBAL ANNOUNCES EIGHT-BOUT MMA EVENT

NEW YORK – October 27, 2021 – Combate Global today announced a complete, eight-bout Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fight card, live on Paramount+ on Friday, Oct. 29 from Miami, Fla.

Paramount+ live coverage will begin with a Combate Global pre-show at 10:30 p.m. ET/9:30 p.m. CT, and will continue with the live fight action, beginning at 11:00 p.m. ET/10:00 p.m. CT.

In addition, coverage of Combate Global will be complemented this week by back-to-back, one-hour recap programs on CBS Sports Network on Thursday, Oct. 28 at 9:00 p.m. ET/8 p.m. CT and 10 p.m. ET/9 p.m. CT, respectively.

In the lightweight (155 pounds) main event on Friday, undefeated Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt Levi Escobar (2-0) of Tucson, Ariz. will take on Daniel Sanchez (2-1) of Mexico City, Mexico.

A featured welterweight (170 pounds) contest will pit Erick “Perry” Montano (8-6) of Mexico City against Mark “Showtime” Martin (6-1) of Phoenix, Ariz.

Leading off the main card will be a bantamweight (135 pounds) battle between unbeaten Ismael “Kraken” Zamora (1-0) of Mexico City and Saul Tijerina Estrada (0-0) of Monterrey, N.L., Mexico.

The five-fight preliminary bout card will be highlighted by a lightweight (155 pounds) tilt between unbeaten Chris Renteria (1-0) of Tempe, Ariz. and Alexander Sanchez (2-2) of San Luis Potosi, S.L.P., Mexico.

Rodrigo Garcia (2-1) of Monterrey will face off with Richard Pabon (0-0) of Mastic, N.Y. at flyweight (125 pounds).

A featherweight (145 pounds) scrap will pit Justin “Slick J” Vasquez (6-2) of Miami against Gego “No Mercy” Kelly (2-2) of San Nicolas, Aruba.

Wascar “La Avispa” Cruz (12-7) of Miami will take on Shojin Miki (7-8) of Honolulu, Hawaii.

Unbeaten Sam Kilmer (1-0) of Miami will meet Alex Quirasco (0-0) of Veracruz, V.E.R., Mexico at lightweight.
