Tom Mauriello is a former New York City Golden Gloves competitor as well as a college athlete who played football and is now a boxing writer for Real Combat Media. Tom fought in the Super Heavyweight division and also played nose guard in high school and college. Tom has been a boxing fan since his brother sat him down to watch Evander Holyfield fight Mike Tyson when he was 10 years old in 1996. Tom writes with the same passion as he did when he was in the ring, and attempts to put a fighter’s take on current bouts and situations in the sport of boxing.
