Francisco “El Bandido” Vargas vs. Orlando Salido is Set

Los Angeles, CA (March 4th, 2016)– Real Combat Media Boxing Ranking’s Super Featherweight ranked #2, WBC Super Featherweight Champion, Francisco “El Bandido” Vargas (23-0-1, 17 KOs) will defend his title against veteran former world champion, RCM Super Featherweight ranked #7, Orlando “Siri” Salido (40-13-3, 29 KOs), on Saturday, June 4th, at the StubHub Center in Carson, California.
Vargas recently fought on the undercard of the Cotto-Canelo event back in November, when he defeated Japanese fighter, Takashi Miura, and won the WBC Super Featherweight title. The Vargas-Miura fight won the Fight Of The Year by Ring Magazine.
Orlando Salido last fought back in September on the Mayweather-Berto undercard, against Puerto Rican fighter, Roman Martinez. That fight was also a top candidate for Fight Of The Year and robbed the show the night of the fight.
The Vargas-Salido fight, will be the main event and it will be televised by HBO. The fans can definitely expect fireworks, when these two Mexican warriors step into the ring face to face, in an all out toe-to-toe action packed fight.
