Pride of Providence, Light Heavyweight Peter Manfredo, Wins Comeback at Age 38

The ‘Pride of Providence’, light heavyweight contender Peter Manfredo, has made a successful comeback at age 38. Manfredo, 41-7-1 with 22 knockouts, Providence, Rhode Island, knocked out Kentucky journeyman Melvin Russell, 11-8-2 with seven knockouts, at 1:19 of the first round with an anesthetizing body shot left hook at Twin River Event Center, Lincoln, Rhode Island, on November 23, 2019. Manfredo, who held the IBO World Middleweight title at one point in his career, was inactive for 42 months. He returns with a world rating of fourteen on BoxRec at 175 pounds after this comeback win.
