Tacoma, Wash (September 9th, 2019)– Undefeated 20-year-old welterweight prospect Cris Reyes of Renton, Washington, is the Real Combat Media ‘Prospect of the Month’ for September 2019. On Saturday, September 7, 2019, at the Emerald Queen Casino, in Tacoma, Washington, Reyes scored an impressive tenth round knockout of 7-0 prospect Miguel Montero of Las Vegas, who entered the ring with a 100 percent knockout ratio before Reyes knocked him out for the first time. It was the main event of Brian Halquist Productions 123rd installment of the ‘Battle of the boat’ boxing series. The seventh consecutive knockout win for Reyes, in his first trip beyond the first round.

Montero had a superior jab and superior combinations. Reyes switched off between the orthodox and southpaw stance with a relentless body and hook power shot nonstop attack. Eventually, Reyes wore down but he hung in there. Finally, late in the tenth and final round, Reyes landed an atom bomb right hand who dropped Reyes. Reyes somehow got up, only to get dropped for good by another brutal right hand which ended the contest and the question over which of the two fighters was the better prospect.
