Power! King Khan KOs Lo Greco in 39 Seconds, Charlo KOs Centeno Wins WBC Middleweight Interim Belt To Become GGG’s Mandatory

By Robert Brizel, Head Real Combat Media Boxing Correspondent

Liverpool, UK (April 22, 2018)– It took super welterweight Amir ‘King’ Khan all of 39 seconds to drop Phil Lo Greco twice and stop at Echo Arena in Liverpool, United Kingdom, on Saturday, April 21, 2018. Khan, after 23 months of inactivity and 35 months since his last win, showed he learned from his 2016 loss to Saul Alvarez. That is to say, there is a major difference in ability versus the quality of the opponent. Lo Greco, 18-4, 15 knockouts, Toronto, Canada, should stick to Canadian club fighters for the rest of his career, which hit rock bottom with the Khan loss.

Khan, 32-4 with 20 knockouts, Bolton, Lancashire, United Kingdom, could have his eyes on Kell Brook, the former IBF Welterweight and current WBC Silver Super Welterweightsecond-round Sheffield Yorkshire also now campaigning at 154 pounds.

Jermall Charlo won the interim World Boxing Council World Middleweight title with a second-round knockout of Hugo Centeno at Barclays Center on Saturday, April 21, 2018, to win a shot at Gennady Golovkin’s 160-pound world titles. Charlo, 27-0, 21 knockouts, is the hottest rising fighter today in the 160-pound middleweight division.
