Moscow, Russia(October 24th, 2014)– With one eye directed to the future, WBC Silver heavyweight Champion, Carlos Takam from Cameroon (30-1-1, 23 Kos) defends his crown against Russian WBC International Champion, Alexander Povetkin (27-1, 19 KO´s) tomorrow, determined to produce a big freeze in Moscow.

Takam conquered the Silver title defeating wily veteran southpaw Tony Thompson by decision in more clement June. Not to be outdone, Povetkin won his laurels by knocking out Manuel Charr, to earn the WBC International title.

Both fighters showed their heavy armory during an absorbing public training session held in Luzhniki, looking fast and very powerful.

At the official weigh in Povetkin weighed a trim 229.7lbs. While Takam was a more robust 252 lbs. Whoever overcomes the other, will have taken a giant stop in the right direction to contest the absolute Championship.
