A PUÑO LIMPIO” Results From Guaynabo

By: Eliud Vazquez Torres

Guaynabo — Isarael Vazquez(6-0-2, 5 KOs) defeated Miguel Del Valle(8-18, 2 KOs) by a six round unanimous decision in a jr. flyweight contest. Vazquez dictated the opening round by taking it to Del Valle with his relentless pressure. The second round saw both fighters settle in a bit with Vazquez landing the harder punches. The third was no better for Del Valle as Vazquez kept the pressure landing left hooks. Del Valle had his best round so far in the fourth with his counter punching but maybe it was not enough to win the round. Vazquez is coming in over powering the smaller Del Valle. A smile on the face of Vazquez was displayed in the fifth round as he is getting the better of the exchanges. Del Valle barely made it out of the six round as Vazquez landed clean right hooks and straight rights. This bout was the main event.

Antonio Salgado(5-0, 2 KOs) beat Kenneth Rivera(2-1, 1 KO) by a four round unanimous decision. Round one was fought on even terms as both featherweight fighters were on a feel-out process. Salgado though landed the more crisp shots. Salgado had his way in the second with his boxing ability and using his jab often. Rivera had his way in the third getting on the inside and landing his right hand. The last round was close with both fighters landing telling blows.

Jesus Pastrana(2-1, 1 KO) knocked out Rafael Marquez(2-1) in the very first round of a scheduled four round lightweight bout. Pastrana landed a stiff uppercut near the ropes and Marquez was out. It took a few minutes before Marquez recuperated in his corner. The time was 1:57.

Jesus Soler(2-0, 1 KO) defeated Gustavo Ortiz(0-1) by a four round unanimous decision.
First round starts off with both men trading punches. Soler has the better round by using his jab and connecting with body punches. Round two was going Solar’s way by staying behind his jab. Ortiz might have stole the round when he landed a flush left hook towards the end of the round. Solar got himself together for the third as he countered Ortiz mostly throughout the round. The final round saw Solar once again use his reach and height advantages. The bout was at the jr. flyweight limit.
