BELFAST (9 MAY 2025) – Following today’s official weigh-ins, the first event of the 2025 PFL Europe tournament takes place tomorrow night at The SSE Arena in Belfast.

The main event on Saturday 10th May is set, as both Paul “Big News” Hughes (13-2) and Bruno “Robusto” Miranda (17-5) made the Lightweight limit at 156.0 lbs and 153.1 lbs respectively. The co-main event is also locked as Lewis “The McGrizzla” McGrillen (11-1) and Alan “Super Ali” Philpott (21-16-0, 1 NC) hit the scales at 136.0 lbs and 135.6 lbs.

2025 PFL Europe Belfast will air live in the UK & Ireland exclusively on DAZN from 5pm BST.

Paul “Big News” Hughes’ (13-2) will take on Bruno “Robusto” Miranda (17-5) in the Lightweight Main Event Showcase bout, as Paul fulfills his dream of headlining The SSE Arena in front of his home fans. Coming off a majority decision loss for the Lightweight Championship against Usman Nurmagomedov in January, Hughes is looking to bounce back in Belfast, but he will have a fight on his hands with the Brazilian striking marauder, Bruno Miranda, who has fought only former World Champions in his last three outings.

2024 PFL Europe Bantamweight Champion Lewis “The McGrizzla” McGrillen (11-1) returns after a phenomenal year of action, where he took the title home after two consecutive incredible knockout victories. His opponent, Alan “Super Ali” Philpott (21-16-0, 1 NC), believes he has the answer to McGrillen’s power and will look to silence the doubters as he fights in his home country for the first time in 11 years.
