NEWCASTLE – Results from the weigh-ins for the PFL Europe Newcastle event this Saturday, 8 June at the Utilita Arena, Newcastle, are now in the books.

The event in Tyne & Wear will be headlined by the North East’s very own Undisputed World Boxing Champion Savannah Marshall as she makes her debut in mixed martial arts against Brazilian Mirela Vargas (1-2), who has set herself on a collision course to meet her long-time rival Claressa Shields should she pick up the win Saturday night.

The co-main event is scheduled to be an exciting brawl between Kane Mousah (14-6) and Dylan Tuke (7-4), two fighters who always come to entertain the masses and will put on a show in front of the crowd at PFL Europe Newcastle.

The card is full of exciting prospects, ranging from Dagestani-born undefeated 20-year-old Ibragim Ibragimov (6-0), Scotland’s Mark Ewen (5-0) who has stopped all of his last fourteen opponents, and an undefeated Shanelle Dyer (4-0) who won the Four Nations Championships.

PFL Europe Newcastle will air live in the UK and the Republic of Ireland at 5pm BST.

*Begley missed weight and the bout will move forward at a Catchweight of 131 lbs. Begley will forfeit a portion of her fight purse, as well as be deducted 1 point on the final official judges’ scorecards should the fight go to decision. This deduction does apply to the official fight result. 

Canceled Bout:
As a result of Ayton De Paepe (12-4) weighing in at 137.5 lbs, 1.5 lbs over the Bantamweight limit, his scheduled bout with Dean Garnett (12-2-1) has been canceled. Dean will receive a walkover win in the PFL Europe Regular Season and progress to the 2024 PFL Europe Playoffs.
