Cruz, Dominguez, O’Sullivan, and Woodall: New York Area Prospects Fall Short of Mark
By Robert Brizel, Head Real Combat Media Boxing Correspondent
This past weekend, four promoted area pro prospects-Bryant Cruz, Juan Dominguez, Gary O’Sullivan, and Steed Woodall-who have been showcased in New York City were unable to reach the final bell in their respective bouts, raising questions about the quality of training and caliber of opposition once they left the area to fight bouts against high level opposition.
The key point which first comes to mind is whether or not these fighters were too overprotected by being fed limited quality opposition. Witness the video clips of Baby Tito Dominguez getting knocked unconscious, and the frantic medical scene inside the ring.
