Las Vegas, Nevada, (August 8th, 2026)–Mateusz Gamrot gets a live test tonight from the fastest-rising lightweight in the UFC when he headlines UFC Vegas 120 against Quillan Salkilld at the Meta APEX. It’s a stacked crossroads card that also sends 16-year veteran Darren Elkins into retirement, and all 24 fighters made weight Friday without a single miss.

Gamrot is one of the best wrestlers in the division, averaging over five takedowns per 15 minutes across 13 UFC bouts, and he’s fresh off an arm-triangle submission of Esteban Ribovics, his first tapout win in four years. He re-signed with the UFC two weeks before this booking and has notable wins over Arman Tsarukyan, Rafael dos Anjos and Rafael Fiziev, but he’s alternated wins and losses over his last four fights and has never quite broken into true title contention. This is his fourth UFC main event, and he’s 2-1 in that spot.
Salkilld is undefeated in the UFC at 5-0 with four finishes and four Performance of the Night bonuses, most recently a first-round TKO of Beneil Dariush in his native Australia. He’s a Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt who was named UFC.com’s 2025 Newcomer of the Year, and he called for this fight himself after the Dariush win. The concern is durability of the gameplan: he has never been past three rounds as a pro, and Saturday is scheduled for five.
Keys to Victory: Gamrot needs to chain his takedowns and drag Salkilld into deep water he hasn’t swum in before, using his pace and wrestling to wear down the younger man over 25 minutes. Salkilld needs to keep the fight standing and finish early behind his height and reach, because if this goes past the third round for the first time in his career, the blueprint tilts toward Gamrot.

Ferreira is a third-degree Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt with two Fight of the Night and four Performance of the Night bonuses on his UFC resume, and he’s moving back up to lightweight looking to snap a two-fight skid. He hits hard and is the far more accomplished grappler in this matchup, which is the clearest path to a finish.
Quarantillo, a former King of the Cage lightweight champion, hasn’t fought since a December 2024 knockout loss to Cub Swanson and is coming off a full recovery and a full training camp. His game is pace, pressure and volume, and this is his first fight back at 155 pounds since 2016.
Keys to Victory: Ferreira wants to keep this a grappling-heavy affair where his experience and power take over late. Quarantillo needs to push a suffocating pace from the opening bell and make Ferreira work in deep water, since a prolonged, high-output fight favors the younger man’s gas tank.

Elkins made his UFC debut in March 2010, and Saturday is his 31st walk to the Octagon and, by his own confirmation, his last. Nicknamed “The Damage,” he built his career on absorbing punishment and wrestling his way back into fights, most famously against Mirsad Bektic, and has shared the cage with Alexander Volkanovski, Charles Oliveira and Chad Mendes. He hasn’t competed since a first-round TKO loss to Julian Erosa in April 2025.
Del Valle is 2-1 in the UFC and coming off the first loss of his career, a decision to Jordan Leavitt in February. Six of his 10 career wins have come by stoppage, four of those by submission, and he’s made clear he has no intention of playing along with a storybook sendoff.
Keys to Victory: Elkins needs an early takedown and a return to the grinding, phone-booth pressure that carried him through 16 years in the division. Del Valle needs to use his speed and output behind a jab to keep this at range and let his younger legs and cardio take over as the fight wears on.
Lemos vs. Thainara

Lemos, a former strawweight title challenger, is trying to snap a two-fight skid after decision losses to Gillian Robertson and Tatiana Suarez. She carries the kind of one-punch power that shocks opponents and has flashed underrated jiu-jitsu, but her defensive wrestling has let her down against elite grapplers, which is a concern here.
Thainara stepped in on short notice after Denise Gomes fell out, and she’s won three straight since arriving in the UFC behind an energetic, crowd-pleasing style. A win over a name like Lemos would push her firmly into the strawweight top 10.
Keys to Victory: Lemos needs to keep this standing and land the fight-changing shot early before Thainara can establish a grappling-heavy pace. Thainara needs to weather the early power and drag Lemos into deep water on the mat, where her volume and control should take over the longer the fight goes.
Miller vs. Goff

Miller is unbeaten as a pro and picked up a standing TKO of Adam Fugitt in his UFC debut in January, his third win by strikes. He’s a rangy boxer who sticks behind his jab and straight punches, using a four-inch height and five-inch reach edge to keep this fight at his preferred distance.
Goff has dropped two straight since returning to the roster in 2022 and hasn’t won since August 2023, including a first-round guillotine loss to Ramiz Brahimaj in May 2025. He fights from a square, switch stance with a Muay Thai style built around elbows and knees in the clinch, and his best path is pressing Miller to the fence to close the distance.
Keys to Victory: Miller needs to keep his jab working and his volume high behind his range advantage to avoid giving a veteran a foothold in the fight. Goff needs to use his experience to walk Miller down, initiate the clinch, and find the space to land the kind of first-round finish that’s kept him relevant on the roster.
