Colisee de Quebec, Quebec City, Quebec, Canada (December 1st, 2013)–  WBO light heavyweight champion  Sergey “Krusher” Kovalev (23-0-1, 21KOs) retained his title for the first time,  as he demolished Ismayl “The Black Russian” Sillakh (21-2, 17KOs) in two rounds.  After a good first round for Sillakh, Kovalev drilled Sillkah early in the  second round with a big right hand. Sillkah managed to get to his feet and then  Sillkah was dropped very hard with a combination that nearly put him out cold.  The fight was stopped immediately by the referee.

WBC light heavyweight  champion Adonis Stevenson (23-1, 20KOs) retained his world title with a  sixth round stoppage of mandatory challenger Tony Bellew (20-2-1, 12KOs). After  two slow rounds, Stevenson opened up with a lot of punches in the third. Bellew  and Stevenson were traded big shots in the fourth, and the challenger appeared  to shake Stevenson up – but the champion fired back strong with both hands.

During the sixth, Stevenson dropped Bellew hard. Bellew made it up to his  feet, but the Stevenson drilled the UK challenger with several hard shot in the  corner to force the intervention of the referee.
