By Robert Brizel, Head Real Combat Media Boxing Correspondent

Valley Forge, PA (August 8th, 2013)– Marshall Kauffman’s King’s Promotions will present an eight bout card at Valley Forge Casino and Resort in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania, on Friday, August 23, 2013. Philadelphia lightweight Naim Nelson, 10-0, 1 knockout, will battle Rockin’ Ryan Belasco, 18-5-3, three knockouts, of Wilmington, Delaware, in the 10 round featured co-main event, fighting for the Pennsylvania State Lightweight championship.

In other featured the co-main event, Pennsylvania heavyweight Travis Kauffman, 24-1 with 18 knockouts, will fight the always dangerous Aaron Lyons of Mississippi, a deceiving 12-12-1 with 9 knockouts.  Lyons has fought in four 10 rounders, and has even gone 12 rounds in an IBC world title bout. Kauffman has fought in two 10 rounders, but never been beyond seven rounds. Lyons has been out of the ring a career. The last four opponents of Lyons had a combined record of 72-3-1 when Lyons fought them. Lyons has hard core experience, which could spell trouble for Kauffman if the fight goes to the later rounds. Neither fighter has won a fight by decision of eight, 10 or 12 rounds duration, making the fight interesting if the result goes to the scorecards.

Super featherweight Frank Santos De Alba and bantamweight Miguel Cartagena will appear in six rounders in the card. Four bouts of four rounds duration will open the card, including: lightweights Damon Allen, Samuel Quiniones Jr. and Gerald Smith; light heavyweights Khalib Whitmore and Richard McCombs; and cruiserweights Lamont Capers and Kamarah Pasley.

Tickets are $125 VIP, ringside $75, and $45 via King’s Promotions in Reading, Pennsylvania, at 610-587-5950 or via Villa at 610-275-3609, or at the door of the Valley Forge Convention Center at the Valley Forge Casino Resort, 1160 First Avenue, King of Prussia, Pennsylvania 19406.
