Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.’s  (46-1-1, 32 KO’s) fight against Brian Vera (23-6, 14 KO’s) that was scheduled for September 7th at the Staples Arena in LA has been postponed to a new currently unannounced date.

The reason for this is because Chavez Jr. suffered a small but serious cut on his eyelid in sparring during his training camp.

Chavez Jr. has been training with his trainer Vladimir Baldenebro, his conditioning coach Alex Ariza and his legendary father Julio Cesar Chavez Sr. in his hometown Culiacan.

Real Combat Media will have more on this story as it unfolds.
