Miami, Florida (October 31st, 2025)– Only two weeks before his scheduled sanctioned exhibition with Jake Paul, World Boxing Association World Lightweight champion Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis has been sued in Miami-Dade County by his ex-girlfriend, Courtney Rossel.

According to the lawsuit filed in the Miami Gardens Police Department on Tuesday, October 29, 2025, from details subsequently obtained by ESPN, Tank Davis has been accused by ex-girlfriend Courtney Rossel of battery, aggravated battery, false imprisonment, kidnapping, and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

According to the new civil complaint, Davis is alleged to have stormed into Tootsie’s Cabaret, Miami Gentlemen’s Club, where Rossel worked as a VIP cocktail server, in the early hours of Monday, October 28, 2025, and attacked her in the back room of the club, which does not have cameras. She claims Davis then dragged her through a stairwell, the kitchen, and the back exit before physically assaulting her in a nearby parking garage.
