JOSEPH PARKER VS FABIO WARDLEY PRESSER, WEIGH-IN & BETTING ODDS
Parker vs. Wardley Heavyweight Crossroads 02 Arena DAZN Card Preview
By Robert Brizel, Head Real Combat Media Boxing Correspondent
Greenwich, UK (October 25th, 2025)– The main event bout between world-ranked heavyweights Joseph Parker and Fabio Wardley is the featured attraction on a DAZN ten-bout card, co-promoted by Frank Warren’s Queensberry Promotions and Platform Sport, at the 02 Arena in Greenwich, United Kingdom, on Saturday, October 25, 2025.
In this reporter’s view, Fabio Wardley’s March 2024 bout with Frazer Clarke at 02 Arena, Greenwich, which ended in a draw, could have been won by Clarke over 12 rounds by split decision, were it not for incurring a one-point deduction for low blows. After winning the convenient rematch six months later, which Wardley won by first-round stoppage. Then, Wardley knocked out Justis Hini in the tenth round of a 12 round bout in which he was seven points down and had lost the bout on the cards.
To win, Wardley has to knock Parker out, which Zhilei Zhang, Deontay Wilder, Anthony Joshua, Andy Ruiz, and Dereck Chisora were unable to do. Joe Joyce did it in the eleventh round. However, Parker, 36-3 with 24 knockouts, Auckland, New Zealand, a former WBO World Heavyweight champion, has a solid chin overall. Parker is predicted to win by 12 12-round majority or split decision in an exciting contest for the WBA and WBO interim World Heavyweight titles and a world title shot in 2026 against Oleksandr Usyk. Wardley, 19-01 with 16 knockouts, Ipswich, Suffolk, United Kingdom, remains, like Moses Itauma, untested against the heart of the heavyweight division. Parker, like Dereck Chisora, is one of those main event world-ranked heavyweights who keep knocking at the title door.
Parker remains the most underrated heavyweight out here. Parker’s manager, David Higgins, is confident Parker can win this bout. If Parker succeeds in knocking out or stopping Wardley, this bout could prove a big mistake. Two titles are at stake. The bout could still be a close draw or worthy of a rematch, or it could be a major mismatch. Tonight will tell the story.
In the preliminary bout to the main event, in a vacant International Boxing Organization World Cruiserweight title contest, IBF International cruiserweight regional titleholder Juergen Uldedaj, 20-1 with eight knockouts, an Albanian fighting out of Magdeburg, Germany, is predicted to win by 12 round unanimous decision over Rolly Lambert Fogoum, a Cameroon fighter out of Dubai, United Arab Emirates, is an evenly matched contest.
02 Arena Greenwich DAZN Undercard Predictions
12-0 Ezra ‘The Cannon’ Taylor of Nottingham is predicted to win by 12-round decision over 20-3-1 Steed Woodall in a light heavyweight contest.
18-1 Middlesex prospect Mitchell Smith, ‘The Baby Faced Assassin’, is predicted to win by 10 10-round decision over 8-0 Essex prospect Arne ‘The Terminator’ Smith in a vacant WBO European Lightweight contest. Smith could surprise everybody, though Mitchell has more experience.
Danny Quartermaine, 13-0-1 with four knockouts, Learnington Spa, Warwickshire, United Kingdom, is predicted to win by 10 rounds majority decision over southpaw ‘Sugar Boy Roy’ Royston Barney-Smith, 14-0 with seven knockouts, Southampton, Hampshire, United Kingdom, in defense of the IBF and WBO European Super Featherweight titles. The bout could wind up in a draw. Edge to the champion, Quartermaine here. If Barney-Smith is hungry, he could upset Quarterpaine by stoppage depending on how the bout turns in the later rounds.
11-1 super flyweight prospect Tony ‘Lightning Junior’ Curtis of London is predicted to win by a six-round decision over 3-12-2 Lakshmy Contreras of Guadalajara, Mexico.
Debuting featherweight Zayn Ahmed from London is predicted to win by a four-round decision over 9-51-3 Nicaraguan professional journeyman Engles Gomez.
Super welterweight prospect 3-0 southpaw Jimmydean Wood of Kent is predicted to win by stoppage over 5-17-1 Estonian journeyman Artjohn Spartar.
Super middleweight 3-0 southpaw prospect George Crotty of Royston is predicted to win by a four-round decision over Bahadur Karami, an Iranian journeyman fighting out of Manchester.
Super lightweight prospect 4-0 Anton Essen of Gloucester is predicted to win by four-round decision over 15-58-5 ringer Jordan Ellison of Seaham. Ellison lost a hard-fought 10-round decision to Owen Rees for the vacant BBBofC Northern Areas Super Lightweight title last month, making his record deceiving and questionable.
Opening the card, 1-0 super bantamweight Hassan Ishaq of the Berkshire Lucky Gloves School of Boxing is predicted to win by a four-round decision over 1-99 Jake Pollard of Yorkshire, a professional journeyman of 100 bouts of experience in the British tradition of Peter Buckley. The gloves should prove lucky for Ishaq, as Pollard will lose his 95th decision, with five bouts still scheduled for this year.
