Las Vegas – UFC® returns to Madison Square Garden with a collision of UFC legends as heavyweight champion Jon Jones looks to defend his crown against former two-time title-holder and current No. 8 ranked Stipe Miocic. In the five-round co-main event, former lightweight champion and No. 2 ranked contender Charles Oliveira battles No. 6 ranked Michael Chandler in a highly anticipated rematch.

UFC® 309: JONES vs. MIOCIC takes place Sat., November 16 at Madison Square Garden in New York City with the main card at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT on ESPN+ PPV. The prelims will be available on ESPNNEWS and ESPN Deportes, as well as simulcast in English and Spanish on ESPN+, at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT. The early prelims will kick off at 6 p.m. ET/3 p.m. PT on ESPN+ and UFC Fight Pass.

UFC® 309: JONES vs. MIOCIC tickets will go on sale Fri., September 27 at 10 a.m. ET and are available for purchase at ticketmaster.com. Ticket sales are limited to eight (8) per person. UFC Fight Club® members will have the opportunity to purchase tickets Wed., September 25 at 10 a.m. ET via the website www.ufcfightclub.com. Two-division champion Jones (27-1 1NC, fighting out of Albuquerque, N.M. by way of Endicott, N.Y.) looks to add another dominant win to his already illustrious resume. Widely considered to be the best MMA athlete of all time, he holds spectacular wins over Ciryl Gane, Daniel Cormier and Quinton Jackson. Jones now aims to make a statement by stopping Miocic in emphatic fashion.

The greatest heavyweight of all time Miocic (20-4, fighting out of Independence, Ohio) plans to become just the second fighter in UFC history to win the heavyweight title three times with an epic performance. Owner of the most heavyweight title defenses in UFC history, Miocic has earned memorable victories against Daniel Cormier (twice), Junior Dos Santos and Fabricio Werdum. Miocic now intends to become the first man to finish Jones and wear UFC gold once again.

Former UFC lightweight champion Oliviera (34-10 1NC, fighting out of Sao Paulo, Brazil) aims to deliver another highlight-reel victory. The owner of the most finishes in UFC history, Oliveira has thrilled fans with wins over Beneil Dariush, Dustin Poirier and Justin Gaethje. He now has his sights set on making another run towards the title by taking out Chandler.

The always-exciting Chandler (23-8, fighting out of Nashville, Tenn.) returns to the Octagon looking to exact a measure of revenge against Oliveira in his third trip to Madison Square Garden as a member of the UFC roster. With four post-fight bonuses out of his five UFC fights, he has proven himself to be one of the most entertaining fighters on the planet with victories over Dan Hooker and Tony Ferguson. Chandler now seeks to even the score with Oliveira and break back into the Top 5.

  • Top middleweight prospect Bo Nickal (6-0, fighting out of Pleasant Gap, Penn.) faces crafty veteran Paul Craig (17-8-1, fighting out of Coatbridge, Scotland)
  • Former UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman (16-7, fighting out of Baldwin, N.Y.) looks to make a statement against Eryk Anders (16-8 1NC, fighting out of Birmingham, Ala.)
  • No. 7 ranked UFC light heavyweight contender Nikita Krylov (30-9, fighting out of Donetsk, Ukraine) aims to remove No. 11 Azamat Murzakanov (14-0, fighting out of Fairfield, N.J. by way of Nalchik, Russia) from the ranks of the unbeaten
  • No. 13 ranked UFC bantamweight contender Jonathan Martinez (19-5, fighting out of Plainview, Texas) intends to defend his spot in the rankings against Marcus McGhee (9-1, fighting out of Pheonix, Ariz.)
  • Top women’s flyweight contenders lock horns as No. 9 ranked Viviane Araujo (12-6, fighting out of Brasilia, Brazil) battles No. 11 Karine Silva (18-4, fighting out of Curitiba, Brazil)
  • Mickey Gall (7-6, fighting out of Green Brook Township, N.J.) returns to the Octagon against Ramiz Brahimaj (10-5, fighting out of Dallas, Texas) in a welterweight bout
  • Women’s flyweight action sees Veronica Hardy (9-4-1, fighting out of Nottingham, England by way of Caracas, Venezuela) take on Eduarda Moura (10-1, fighting out of Salvador, Brazil)
