Garching, Germany (May 18th, 2022)– Undefeated German light heavyweight prospect Musa Yamak of Munich, Germany, the current WBF International Light Heavyweight champion, who knocked out eight opponents in eight bouts between rounds two and seven, since his pro debut in October 2017, lost by second-round referee’s technical decision, when he died in the ring of a heart attack at age 38, on Saturday, May 14, 2022, in Garching, Germany.

Yamak has boxed two rounds of a scheduled six-rounder at Bueguerhaus against 20-19-3 Ugandan southpaw Hamza Wandera, fighting out of Amsterdam, Netherlands, with 15 knockouts on his pro record. Musak died on his stool between rounds, rather than during combat.

Wandera, a former Ugandan super middleweight champion, also age 38, who opened his career 12-2-2, entered the ring a loser of his last 10 bouts, in which he was knocked out nine times during that losing streak, and had not won a bout in six years.
