Two heavyweight titans will close out the 2015 boxing year with a bang on December 19, as former world title contender Bryant “By-By” Jennings (19-1, 10 KOs) takes on recently crowned WBA Interim Heavyweight belt holder Luis “The Real King Kong” Ortiz (23-0, 20 KOs) in a 12-round championship fight. The event will take place at Turning Stone Resort Casino, in Verona, New York and will be televised live on HBO Boxing After Dark.

Mexican fighter Pedro “Roca” Campa (18-0, 14 KOs) will make his U.S. and LA FIGHT CLUB debut on Friday, November 6 as he puts his undefeated record on the line against seasoned fighter and Angeleno Miguel Angel “El Anestesista” Huerta (28-13-1, 18 KOs) in a 10-round super lightweight main event bout live on Boxeo Estelar on Estrella TV. Bouts will be televised nationally at 10:00 p.m. ET/7:00 p.m. PT and the non-televised undercard fights will be live streamed via The Ring TV’s Roku channel, www.ringtvlive.com and on The Ring TV’s YouTube channel. The live stream will begin at approximately 5:30 p.m. PT through
7:00 p.m. PT.
In the co-main event, local favorite and rising star Joet Gonzalez (12-0, 5 KOs) will be featured in an eight-round super bantamweight co-main event, as part of the Estrella TV telecast. Opening the telecast, newly signed prospect Jonathan “Thunder” Navarro (2-0, 1 KO) of East Los Angeles, CA will make his third LA FIGHT CLUB appearance in a six-round lightweight bout. Featured on The Ring TV’s live stream is Eddie De La Huerta (2-0, 2 KOs) of Los Angeles in a four-round super featherweight bout and Damon Allen Jr. (7-0, 3 KOs) of Philadelphia in a six-round lightweight bout. Opening the night and The Ring TV’s live stream will be Alan Campa (13-2, 9 KOS) of Guaymas, Sonora Mexico facing off against an opponent that is to be determined. Airing live nationally on Estrella TV’s Boxeo Estelar, Mexican slugger Horacio “Violento” Garcia (29-1-0, 21 KOs) takes on fellow countryman Raul “Bule” Hidalgo (24-13, 18 KOs) in a 10-round featherweight bout sure to start off the weekend on fire on the Las Vegas Strip.
Featured as part of the RingTV Live Stream, East LA’s undefeated Roy “Pit Bull” Tapia (11-0-2, 6 KOs) is scheduled to face Erik Ruiz (14-4, 6 KOs) of Oxnard, Calif. in an eight-round super bantamweight bout; while fellow Golden Boy Promotions stablemates, Jason “El Animal” Quigley (8-0, 8 KOs) from Donegal, Ireland, and rising prospect Hector “El Finito” Tanajara Jr. (2-0, 1 KOs), of San Antonio, Texas, are both scheduled for six-round middleweight and super featherweight fights, respectively. Cotto vs. Canelo, a fight for the fans, has proven to be the hottest ticket in town for Las Vegas on Saturday, Nov. 21. TECHNICAL KNOCKOUT VICTORY AT

In the highly anticipated main event on Saturday night, WBA/IBO and WBC “Interim” World Champion Gennady “GGG” Golovkin (34-0, 31 KOs) added the IBF Middleweight Title to his collection with an exhilarating performance against former IBF Middleweight World Champion, David Lemieux (34-3, 31 KOs), culminating in an eighth round technical knockout victory on Saturday, October 17, at Madison Square Garden with a sold out crowed of 20, 548 fight fans.
In undercard action, undefeated heavyweight Luis “The Real King Kong” Ortiz (23-0, 20 KOs) scored a third round KO over Matias Ariel “El Matador” Vidondo (20-2-1, 18 KOs) to claim the vacant WBA Interim Heavyweight World Title. Ortiz dropped Vidondo in round two and finished him with another knockdown in the third stanza.
In an IBF World Title Eliminator Middleweight Tureano Johnson (19-1, 13 KOs) scored a twelve round unanimous decision over Eamonn “King Kane” O’Kane (14-2-1, 5 KOs). Johnson dropped O’Kane twice in the first, but was forced to go the full twelve. Scores were 118-108, 117-109, 119-107.

An exciting night of boxing hit the Coachella Valley tonight as fans were treated with a stellar card at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino. Joining in the festivities, International Hall of Fame Boxer Michael “Jinx” Spinkshosted a special meet and greet at the Special Events Arena ahead of the televised fights and fans cheered on as International Hall of Fame Trainer Freddie Roach appeared ringside in support of his fighter Franke “Pitbull” Gomez. Also, Golden Boy Promotions fighters IBF Bantamweight World Champion, Randy “El Matador” Caballero, Hector “El Finito” Tanajara, Joshua Franco, Angel Bojado and Jesus Soto Karassattended to cheer on their favorite fighters during the night.
In the main event of the night Joseph “Jo Jo” Diaz Jr. (18-0, 10 KOs), of So. El Monte, Calif. took on Ruben “Kanelito” Tamayo (23-7-4, 15 KOs) of Cuidad Obregon, Mexico in a scheduled 10-round featherweight bout. Diaz Jr. displayed his dominance over Tamayo landing effective and accurate blows to Tamayo’s head and body that slowly wore Tamayo down. Tamayo proved to be a resilient fighter as he continued to engage with Diaz Jr. throughout the night but it was Diaz Jr. who gained the victory via unanimous decision with all three judges scoring the fight 100-90.
Frankie “Pitbull” Gomez (19-0, 13 KOs) of East Los Angeles, gave the fans the something to cheer about as he took on Tijuana’s Jorge “Pantera” Silva (19-10-2, 15 Kos) in a 10-round super welterweight co-main event. Both fighters exchanged blows each not willing to give up to the other. In the third and fourth rounds the crowd erupted into a “Frankie, Frankie” cheer as Gomez cornered the tough Silva in the ropes. By the end of the fight, fans were on their feet cheering on their favorite fighter. Gomez proved to be victorious, winning the bout via unanimous decision with scores of 100-90 by all three judges.
Opening up the night and the RingTV live stream, KeAndre Gibson (14-0-1, 5 KOs) of St. Louis, Missouri, kept his undefeated intact when he knocked out Thomas Howard (8-5, 4 KOs) 55 seconds into the second round.

A dangerously aggressive rising star and former WBC Caribbean Boxing Federation, WBO Latino and WBA Fedecaribe super welterweight titleholder, Melendez has repeatedly proved to audiences he is one to watch, most recently with a first-round technical knockout victory over Antonio Rodriguez in June 2015. After a stellar amateur career in Ghana that included qualifying for the 2008 Olympics, winning the 2007 African Championship in the welterweight division and leading Ghana’s national team, Samir relocated to the U.S. to pursue his professional career and has quickly captivated fans with an impressive 14 wins and his undefeated status.
