Unified MMA returns on GFL with “Unified MMA 20” from the Mirage Banquet Hall in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada on September 16. This will be an epic MMA card featuring 12 bouts, including 2 title fights! Who will stand out, once the cage door closes?

In the main event, for the Unified MMA Heavyweight Title, Tanner Boser (5-0) takes on Denny Houle (5-0) in a battle of undefeated fighters. Boser has only gone to decision once and has managed to win in decisive fashion every other time he’s stepped in the cage. Boser is very nimble for a heavyweight and brings a great cardio game into the cage. Boser loves to push the pace and set the tempo from the early going. Look for Boser to try and put Houle on the defensive early and often. Houle is an even faster starter as he has ended all 5 of his fights in the first round. Houle has KO power in both hands and is not afraid to throw haymakers from the opening bell. Houle has 2 wins to his credit in under a minute and when he and Boser meet in the middle of the cage, don’t blink. Part of what makes this fight so interesting is both men’s ability to throw caution to the wind as they go for the win and the gold!

In the co-main event, for the Unified MMA Featherweight Championship, Parwez Ghulam (4-1) fights Bellator and WSOF vet Behrang Yousefi (6-4). Parwez is riding a 3-fight winning streak, all finishes in the first round, and he looks to win the first title in his young, promising career. Ghulam is a well-rounded fighter who can end fights on the ground, or with his fists. Yousefi has fought on the big stage and he will have the experience edge going into this title fight. Yousefi won his last (in Bellator) via triangle choke and has shown an ability to finish his opponent in numerous ways as 5 of his 6 wins have come via stoppage. Look for Yousefi to bring the fight to Ghulam.

In other action, WSOF vet Mark Drummond (5-2) fights Jarid Bussemakers (4-2) in a fight with two rising stars. Drummond has won 5 of his last 6 and is well rounded in all aspects of MMA. Look for Drummond to keep his distance in the striking game and look for a takedown early in the fight to get Bussemakers off of his feet. Bussemakers is dangerous from anywhere in the cage. He is a strong puncher but also well versed on the ground. A win over the WSOF vet Drummond could raise Bussemakers’ stock in one night.

Sparta Combat League – Fall Brawl
Sat Sep 27 4:00PM ET

Click here to watch this event on GoFightLive!

Sparta Combat League returns on September 27 on GFL with “Fall Brawl”, a stacked MMA card from the Grizzly Rose in Denver, Colorado. This event promises to be full speed from bell to bell as some of the best fighters in the Rockies will step into the cage to square off against each other.

In the main event, UFC vet Chris Camozzi (19-9) fights Brian Maronek (3-1). Camozzi debuted in the UFC in 2010 and fought a host of world class fighters during his four year stint as a middleweight. Camozzi is looking to put on a show for his home state in Colorado and wants to prove to everyone that he is still a top ranked fighter in his own right. Camozzi has impressive striking and mixes up his attacks better than most who compete in the sport. Camozzi is also a top notch grappler and has squared off with some of the worldâ??s best in that department. Maronek is going in as the underdog on paper, but try convincing him of that. Maronek is a submission specialist in his own right and if he can pull off the upset, there’s a good chance it will come via tapout. This fight could change Maronek’s career and he is going into the fight looking to do just that. Look for Maronek to meet Camozzi in the center of the ring where fireworks will ensue.

Sparta Combat League is sure to bring down the house once again as they have quickly grabbed a chokehold on Mountain West Muay Thai and MMA and this show will continue in that tradition. Order “Fall Brawl” and watch live and anytime on video on demand only on GFL.tv.For full fight card and more details about this event, visit gfl.tv or click here

Triple A MMA IX – Rock Solid
Sat Sep 27 9:00PM ET

Click here to watch this event on GoFightLive!

Triple A MMA returns to GFL on September 27 with “Rock Solid” emanating from the Camel Rock Casino in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The stacked card will feature the top prospects in the Southwest as they look to make a name for themselves to a worldwide audience. Don’t blink when these gladiators suit up and go to battle inside the cage.

In the main event, Natalie Roy (2-0) takes on Nohime Dennison (1-1) in a flyweight tussle. Roy is a heavy hitter who has TKO’d both of her former opponents inside of the first round. Her wrestling is top notch and if she gets on top she can end the fight viciously with ground and pound. Dennison is a well-rounded fighter who loves to pressure her opponent right from the opening bell. Dennison has both solid standup and a dangerous grappling game. Dennison is looking to continue to climb up the ranks and a win here will raise her record to above .500 and give Roy her first loss.

In the co-main event, Bellator Andres Quintana (5-1) fights Javier Minjarez (4-2) in a featherweight scrap. Quintana is extremely tall for the division, standing at 6′. Quintana will look to use his range from the outside to land shots without being vulnerable himself. His only loss has come via split decision and he has also beaten a fighter currently competing in the UFC. Quintana is one of the top prospects in the Southwest and he continues to shine. Minjarez is a gritty fight from Texas who will need to use his boxing to get inside on Quintana. Once there, Minjarez needs to find a way to get the fight down to the mat and make Quintana work from his back. If Minjarez can dictate where the fight goes, he has a great shot at winning. If not, Quintana will look to pick him apart from the outside in the standup.

In other action, Bellator vet Russell Wilson (2-3) battles Legacy FC vet Jonathan Lopez (4-5). Wilson is extremely fast with his transitions and his relentless takedowns usually mean the fight will end up on the ground sooner or later. If Wilson does get the fight to the mat, expect him to go for guillotines and RNCs during scrambles. Wilson is coming off a decisive first round tapout win. Lopez is back in the cage after dropping a close split decision in his last fight. Lopez has vowed to not let the fight go to the judges and will rely on his grinding style to wear Wilson down and hopefully finish him late in the fight. Lopez brings an iron jaw into the fight which will let him absorb a fair amount of punishment unfazed.

WFC 28
Sat Sep 27 9:00PM ET

Click here to watch this event on GoFightLive!

Hard hitting MMA and Muay Thai action returns as WFC presents “WFC 28” on September 27 from the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, Nevada live on the GFL Combat Sports Network. WFC events are premier MMA shows, promoted across the United States as a proving ground for tomorrow’s future stars and established veterans looking to mix it up. This huge card features several up and coming fighters from the region.

In the main event, for the WFC Middleweight Title, Champion Byron Craig (1-0) takes on Dennis Rockholt (4-1). Craig is a grappling specialist and won his debut fight in a minute via tapout. He is looking to establish himself as a dominant champion and looks to finish Rockholt in the same devastating manner. Rockholt makes the trip from Oregon and will bring a decided experience advantage into the cage. Rockholt is on a 4-fight winning streak and looks to take home gold and add it to his growing collection. Rockholt mixes up his striking and wrestling well and always knows how to press the action to keep his opponent on the defensive. Look for a barnburner from these two.

The WFC 147 lb Muay Thai Title is at stake when Willy Whipple fights John Cabrido. Whipple is a heavy handed striker who can KO nearly anyone in the division with one punch. He is also a technical striker who mixes up leg attacks well to keep his opponent at a disadvantage. Cabrido brings an iron chin into the cage to go along with a huge heart. He is relentless with his punching as he likes to close the distance early and turn the fight into a brawl. Look for these two to have an epic clash from start to finish.

The WFC Featherweight Championship is up for grabs when Hernan Avila (4-1) battles Jeremy Caudillo (0-0). Avila holds a title with another organization and has fought the best fighters in the Reno area. Avila looks to add to his collection of championships with a win here. To do that he will need to avoid the power punching of Caudillo while also setting up his takedowns to get the fight to the canvas where he can work his ground game. Caudillo makes his debut and it is a big one as he is fighting for a title. Caudillo is known for being a heavy handed fighter in the gym and even though he fights at 145 lb, he can put to sleep lightweights and welterweights. This fight will be a barnburner from the opening bell.

MMA and Muay Thai on GFL is ready to deliver again! Be sure to catch all of the action, LIVE on September 27 as WFC presents “WFC 28” exclusively at GFL.tv.For full fight card and more details about this event, visit gfl.tv or click here
